So if you are still using the now old Photoshop Elements, I sincerely recommend you to upgrade to the new version. Ordinarily I would not give a full review of a product, but I am strongly convinced that this review is useful for most of our readers, apart from professionals.

All in all, I think it is time that we rethink our relationship with technology and our dependence on it. Once you have decided on the canvas of your choice, you are presented with the Import dialog. Choosing the Files option allows you to select from any image that will be attached to your canvas. From here you may continue to edit the image on your canvas as normal. There is also the option to import a new image separated from the sub-folder that you have mounted on your computer. From the New dialog you are able to decide if you would like to import an image and select an existing one on your computer or simply create a new one if you do not already have one. When you choose to import an image, you will find the system opening the file in Photoshop. From here, you will see a small preview as well as the ability to choose if you would like to clear the background.

If you need to access the original image you can push the original image from this location to the canvas; however please make sure to do this in a separate folder and not the same one as you are trying to edit. When you are done editing the image, you can then choose whether you would like to export the image as an image file or keep it as a canvas that can be attached to other elements like the desktop or a layered style. For me, I tend to import most images once and then export them as a canvas. I do this so I always have an easy way to access and edit my images when I’m ready to add them to a project or art board.

The Color and Swatches Window is simple, but allows for many features and uses. Each one has a short and concise description that will aid you in working with this tool. I will start by explaining the Color panel. This panel allows for you to select, modify, copy, merge, and paste color. These are the most basic functions in regards to editing colors. There will be more in-depth explanations below. Of course, you can also lock, duplicate, and export colors and essentially apply these to every layer of your image.
