I’ve been getting this error for several hours and I can’t figure out what I’ve done wrong.
The database field is a varchar and it can contain only [ (left square bracket) and ].
The error is: Conversion failed when converting the nvarchar value ‘[CAT2]’ to data type int.
I’m trying to save the data by:
`SqlCommand _save = new SqlCommand(“insert into TABELA (id,text,lenght) values (@id,@text,@lenght)”, connection);
_save.Parameters.AddWithValue(“@id”, id);

If I leave the last parameter blank the error disappears. But the insert does not work as intended.
Any clues what the problem could be?

_save.Parameters.AddWithValue(“@lenght”, text.Length);

Note that you can only pass string as parameteres,
The length attribute returns the length of the specified string.
