Scrolling a UIScrollView with a UIScrollViewController causes UIScrollView to zoom out
I have a UIScrollView in a UIViewController. I want to allow the user to view some more content on the right hand side of my UIScrollView. To do this, I have created a new UIViewController that is a subclass of UIScrollViewController. The new UIViewController has an IBOutlet that is a UIScrollView. The problem is that when I initialize this new view controller and add it to my UIViewController’s view, I get a weird graphical glitch. The content in the UIScrollView and the content in the new UIViewController’s view seems to “zoom out” slightly. I can scroll to the right to see the rest of my content but I can’t scroll back in because I get a jump when the UIScrollView is scrolled back.
Any ideas? I’m using Xcode 3.2 and the iPhone simulator 3.2.

I had a similar issue and I solved it by giving the UIScrollView a contentMode property.

Go to the location where you saved the file.
Locate the crack.
Right click on it and select Properties.

Hutchinson’s aldrichii
Hutchinson’s aldrichii is a species of flowering plant in the olive family known by the common name Hutchinson’s olive. It is native to the desert and scrub lands of the Mojave and Sonoran Deserts in the United States and northern Mexico. It is a bushy evergreen shrub growing up to 60 to 100 centimeters tall and as wide. It has large leaves up to 5 centimeters long, each made up of several pairs of leaflets. Flowers appear in clusters of 2 or 3 and are whitish or yellowish, each flower 2 or 3 millimeters long. The fruit is an ovoid capsule.
This plant can be found in the Mojave Desert in California, and in the Sonoran Desert in Arizona, from San Diego County to Sonora, Mexico.
