How to retrieve the contents of a text file without opening it?
I am looking for a way to get the contents of a text file without actually opening the file. I have the following code:
System.IO.StreamReader file =
new System.IO.StreamReader(@”D:\Test.txt”);
string output = file.ReadToEnd();
If I put this in my program it writes out the contents of my file which is what I want. But when I try to call it from another solution it throws a FileNotFound exception which is what I don’t want.
Any suggestions would be great.
A:
I think you can use the built in Class for reading a stream instead of the StreamReader.
var fs = new FileStream(@”D:\Test.txt”, FileMode.OpenOrCreate);
var reader = new StreamReader(fs);
var output = File.ReadAllText(@”D:\Test.txt”);
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a method for preparing metallic materials such as metals and alloys including TiN, and also relates to a structure as a field-emitter using the metallic materials.
Description of the Related Art
A field-emitter is a surface conductor which generates a field emission of electrons when a strong electric field is applied. A field-emitter including a conductive and sharp tip structure can efficiently emit electrons by the field emission. The field-emitter can be used in a display, a semiconductor or an electron microscope. Recently, it is disclosed that the field-emitter has a great effect on sensing ultra-thin walls of space (i.e., nanoscale) and/or in ultra-fine conductive structures (e.g., nanogap), and it is also expected that the field-emitter can be applied to a base of a

Difference between the Perl module HTML::Lint and Fiddle
I’ve got some code that checks for HTML5 attributes:
#!/usr/bin/perl
# use strict;
# use HTML::Lint;
use Data::Dumper;
use strict;
use warnings;
$Data::Dumper::Sortkeys = 1;
# just to show what Data::Dumper can do
print Dumper( [ sortkeys => 1 ] );
print Dumper( [ sortkeys => 0 ] );
while () {
# pass untouched
# some code to check for HTML 5 attributes
print “$_”;
}
When I run the above it prints out the following results:
