Geo-Duck: At your first sight, Geo-Duck looks like a typical Day & Night anomaly.
But this is not a silly, Earth bound game.
It is a game of epic proportions,
a game where you will find yourself, your sense of awe and exploration,
and the game’s mysterious, zen-like sensation constantly confronts you.
It’s a game where you chase the eclipse.
The player of this game will touch the world and dive deeply within the world,
and it’s up to you to follow the rhythm.
It’s a game where you go on a journey with a mysterious girl,
and follow her footsteps through the world.
The journey is about a girl who’s running away from sadness,
sadness that won’t go away no matter how hard she tries.
A girl who’s running away from the world,
Because she feels that people in this world deserve to live.
The two of them (a boy and a girl) are saving and raising their heart as a secret.
And those two hearts have a strange legend.
The boy can see a girl with a broken heart.
But he’s not able to help her, because the girl’s situation is too heavy to carry.
He sees the life that he himself can’t live,
And he tries to put it down.
The girl, on the other hand,
The girl is an anomaly.
She feels that everything is not right with the world,
the people in this world deserve to live.
Her heart is more powerful than anyone’s…
She finds the reason she’s running.
And she runs away from that reason,
Even if she loses her friends.

This game tells you that even if you try to keep something secret,
Even if you try to hide, it will be found.
Even if you keep your whole heart as a secret,
There’ll be someone who will find that heart…
It’s like a real life
Two players are playing a one player game of Skeletal Skism. Skeletal Skism is a maze game based on the short-sightedness/loneness of humans. The player starts the game in the town district with the goal of completing the maze. Since the maze is a strictly 1×1 land mass, the player’s movement is constrained to horizontal only. Also, since the player’s eye sight is human low, the player is given 5 seconds to view the entire map and must be fast. Each level will have a goal which the player must attain. At the end of the game, the player loses health based on their progress. The player loses points for any physical activity or inactivity. The player’s goal is to turn as few spins as possible before their health runs out. Anything on the map including people or natural features is a spin. Skeletal Skism is the brainchild of Greg Vlachyn of BrightBooth Games and comes recommended by Blockade 3D as an excellent first game with which to learn about the basics of game creation. Guardians of Greyrock is an indie tactical RPG set in an engrossing fantasy world, where players are left to guide a young Greywolf through a harsh and unforgiving environment. The custom built game engine is developed to provide the maximum sense of immersion into the gameplay experience, and an emphasis on atmospheric effects.
The Guardian of Greyrock is able to cast a variety of spells to aid him, allowing him to fight in elemental and physical spells. Players must carefully choose what spells to cast when to avoid incurring increased encounter difficulty and additional fatigue.
Guardians of Greyrock has a unique campaign system of randomly generated stages to enable new challenges and replayability. Each stage, as well as the battles in between them, can be replayed to progress to new locations and encounter new foes. This enables you to complete the campaign on your own time, however you so choose.
Players can have up to 3 companions available in the campaign. Each companion has an Intelligence and Willpower scale, allowing for varying degrees of assistance and support. Companions will provide assistance with spells, healing, and ammunition, as well as an additional force of attack. Please note that companions will only be able to use those spells which they have learned, and thus player must keep the companions levels up and with a good level of training to ensure full support from them.
Some abilities and items obtained as player progress through the game will also provide companions with a support ability. This will be able to assist in the battle against foes which the player may not be equipped or trained in.
Guardians of Greyrock does not feature a level up system. Rather, player’s character will receive experience points for tasks completed in the game, allowing them to increase their experience level. This will also result in a character gaining access to new weapon types and more spells, but no additional “cap”. As character levels increase, it will be possible to purchase additional spells and obtain new armor.

Simmons says it all in the four minutes of the review, but I’ll say it again anyway. This game focuses on two things: Dating and dreaming. Taking a cue from “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” this is a game that lures you into playing right away and that is very hard to shake off. Toss in some great atmosphere and some funny dialogue and youve got yourself an early holiday gift that’s special.

The graphics in “Five Dates” are beautiful. The locations are well-defined and the characters personalities are thoroughly fleshed out. I was really impressed with the look of the game and how accurately the creators of the game captured what the world of dating is really like. In fact, it reminded me a bit of the TV series “How I Met Your Mother” to the point where it was almost painful to watch. The sound effects and music were also quite well done. The only thing I didnt like was how things kept getting stuck on “Really?” in instances where “Really?” should have been a big deal.
“Five Dates” had me looking up the Urban Dictionary to get a handle on some of the more unusual dating terminology that kept coming up. The dictionary even defined the term “romantic” as one that doesn’t include sex.5/5 Joystiq

This is a nice, fun game. I prefer Sims-like games over “date sims”, but this one doesn’t have anything wrong with it so far. I’d definitely recommend this one, especially to Sims fans who don’t mind romance.

-core nanocrystals grown in III–V compounds have attracted considerable interest due to their unique electronic and optical properties and potential for novel devices. Their reduced dimensions and strain-induced lattice disorder have been shown to considerably influence their electronic properties relative to those of the bulk materials ([@R1]–[@R4]). Recently, Knöpfel *et al.* ([@R5]) reported the formation of high-efficiency, single-junction, near-infrared (NIR) emitters from the intermediate bandgap semiconductor system of GaN/In~*x*~Ga~1−*x*~N core/shell quantum dots (QDs), demonstrating that the core-shell structure could be fabricated in a relatively wide range of composition as compared to that of GaAs/InAs nanocrystals and providing the opportunity to employ the core-shell design in NIR single photon sources.
There is, however, one significant drawback associated with core/shell QDs when used as a light source: The intrinsic emission of core-shell QDs arising from the uniform (effective) dilute magnetic semiconductor structure is weak when compared to that of self-assembled QDs (SAsQDs) comprising of QDs of identical composition. The luminescence originating from the QDs is produced by excitons that are generated by nonradiative energy transfer from the emitter core to the emitter shell and by decay of the resulting emissive excitons into the ground state. Energy transfer between QDs depends on the distance, the degree of overlap of energy levels, and the environment between QDs, which makes the effective dilute parameter Δ~eff~ \~ 1/*x* with *x* the shell composition, that is, the more dilute the shell, the greater the decay of QD luminescence due to loss of spacial overlap and efficient conversion of excited states. Thus, the shell composition can be optimized to obtain a uniform distribution of excitons in the medium and thereby reduce luminescence loss ([@R6]). However, its impact on the spectral shift of the transition due to a change in the shell composition would require calculations, as mentioned by Knöpfel *et al.* ([@R5]), which are outside the scope of this paper.
