EasyCap Model DC60 Version 3.5c

just bought the latest version. installed it on windows 7 ultimate 64-bit. no problem during install. it looks like the board has been calibrated. i dont have a device to test it. downloaded the driver. its in the same folder as the software. i had to change driver to x64. now when the device is plugged in, it automatically goes to the boot menu. the following is what i see:

• usb-easycap (version 3.4c)
• usb-easycap (version 3.5b)
• usb-easycap (version 3.5c)
• usb-easycap (version 3.6b)
• easycap wpcan

this new version and driver appear to work like easycap in osx lion, once it works. the new version boots into a boot menu. if you get to the b&n auto-complete screen, the data, such as the os version, is unreliable. i tried searching the new boot menu data, and found that easycap 3.6b is installed, and that easycap 3.5c is installed.

while windows 7 64-bit was upgraded, apple updated mac os x lion and this change broke easycap. only windows 7 64-bit works. the newest driver does not fit macs, even the most recent one. we just got a fix from easycap for macs, and have to wait until we upgrade all our macs to os x lion. im hearing some stories that the new apple tv does not work with the latest version of easycap, a driver or the service, anyway, it takes awhile to get the first apple tv to work with the new easycap beta version.

when using a new version of a driver, you have to enter the new version. the old version will continue to operate until you reboot. eventually, this version will be fully supported, but be prepared for upgrades. the latest easycap software beta (3.6b) has a new windows 7 64-bit download link.

now you will need to repeat this process to install the driver for the video capture device that you have connected to your computer. since the easycap002 driver folder is named easycap in the above script, you will need to install the easycap folder and not the easycap.v3.5c.zip driver pack.
once you have installed the easycap driver for both the easycap and the video capture device, you will need to make sure both easycap002 and your usb video capture device is loaded. to do this, open a command window. the first thing you will need to do is make sure you have your easycap002 device driver attached to your system. you can use the v4l2-ctl utility again:
the card has multiple analog a-to-d converters. you can use the lspci command to see which one is which. the command v4l2-ctl –list-devices can be used to get information about each device. the usbtv007-specific information is shown in v4l2: (you need to run this v4l2-ctl command as root, so i’m just showing the output here; don’t give it your password):
