here is some information on the miles protected-mode ail v3 dos audio drivers which may help in your quest to get the last released versions identified. the time/date and size of the miles audio ail v3 file may help, but internally there are usually text strings in the mdi files which usually have an ail33xx string embedded within the file. there is also an internal embedded version number located at byte position 0x8 and 0x9 (zero-based start) of both the dig and mdi files.

here is the 2k adpcm mux drivers for the gravis ultrasound spuk1 sound card. yes, i believe it was still around back then! to activate it, you have to load the spuk1.dsk into dosbox and load the.dsk into the 2k adpcm mux driver. it has a little bit of a learning curve, but i believe it works. the.dsk is just an 8086 executable that has been altered to load 2k adpcm code. i can provide this if you need it. also, if anyone knows what the equivalent.dsk would be for the ultraman maxy v2 sound card, let me know and i can provide that also. also, if you have the other versions of the gravis ultrasound v2 mux driver (the later 2.00 version, for instance), i can provide them too

if you don’t hear any kind of sound when you play media files, it might be because your sound card doesn’t support the miles sound system mixer.dll. you should try to find a driver that is made for your sound card in order for it to work properly.

no matter what kind of sound card you have, there will be some drivers available for it. the reason is that the manufacturers may need to update them in the future, or a fix may be needed for a security vulnerability.
