This pack of battle backgrounds is a modification on the packs presented in the Monster Pack Series by Tyler Warren, creator of Hack and Slash series. These models were designed for use in RPG Maker MZ and RPG Maker MV, which do not have a 16-bit engine available, but are designed to be easily ported to games such as MMORPGs that use the RPG Maker MZ engine. If you are using RPG Maker MV, these models can be easily ported. If you are using RPG Maker MZ, Tyler created conversion packs to do so.
Tyler Warren typically uses the gray-scale pixel-style monsters when creating pixel-style combat models. The advantage of this is that you can add many models to any map of your choosing.
This pack is intended to serve as a clean palette of battle backgrounds. This pack provides:
* an expansion of the original 50 backgrounds by Tyler Warren, which were originally 15 backgrounds
* an expanded palette of pixel-style battle backgrounds
* as such, this pack includes pixel-style combat models for your projects

Jason Perry’s Time Fantasy Sprites
These sprites are a continuation of the project Jason Perry began in 2013 by creating pixel sprites using colors inspired by his favorite 8-bit era games.
Thinking about how fast some games move, Jason felt he wanted sprites that would appeal to more than just the eye.
Jason’s sprites have a sturdy movement. They are a nice addition to the pixel style monsters and battle background that Tyler supplied.
These sprites can be used in any game (RPG Maker Series, RPG Maker VX ACE, or RPG Maker MV)
Jason Perry sprites are intended for use in games with a pixel style engine.

You play the role of a lone rōnin who has just been dispatched to the village you are currently inhabiting. You are given the ultimate goal of reaching the top of the pagoda by defeating the nefarious General and destroying the Cult of the Dragon. What occurs after that is up to you. Is the village able to withstand the siege or will it succumb to the invading demons?
Vagrant Sword is a 2D Top-Down rogue-lite hack and slash where you must fight your way through an endless tide of hordes of demonic enemies to destroy the General and the Cult of the Dragon in order to save the villagers you happen to live amongst.
Equipped only with your two handed wooden training sword, you must rely on your wits and reflexes to fend off hordes of enemies. The game randomly creates dungeons where you must collect gold, meat and items to upgrade your sword and armament.
What sets Vagrant Sword apart from the rest is the story which is created as you progress through the dungeon. Every time you clear a floor you will encounter one of the villagers from your home town. The townsfolk will give you assistance as they are willing to help those in need however they have been defeated and are now vulnerable. Make sure to give aid to all of the citizens while taking care to avoid the pagoda, it will use up all your health and mana energy if you do not leave it in time. Your goal is to free the villagers as you fight your way to the top.

This week’s challenge is Artwork I. SFFP. I really wished I had taken more chances with this last week. My best thing to do is to play it safe by doodling with paint and practice little strokes or washes. I wanted to do something with a hat though. I think I’m not doing well with hats in art- it’s hard to get anything interesting looking with one 🙂 Anyways, here it is:
Last week I challenged myself to figure out how to paint a border around my doodle, something I’ve been struggling with since I started TSC. Back when I first started with TSC I loved art but I haven’t really worked at it in a few months. So I was surprised to see a border come out. It was not bad though.
I also finished this:
I won’t be posting pictures of this on the blog. The edges have been torn so bad that I couldn’t take it. My drawings just kept coming out larger than they were supposed to. I don’t like this because I am all about simplicity and precision in my art!
I can’t wait to see what the rest of y’all do next week. Try something new, but do it safely.

Hey y’all! I hope all of my followers have as great a weekend as I have. I am so excited to have my art showcased. It is so great to see the hard work that I put in to get a little bit of positive feedback. I’m sharing a little mini gallery of my favorite portrait pieces I’ve done.
