Tactile12000 application is a 3-D, interactive simulation of a DJ setup – two turntables and a mixer.
You can crossfade, backspin, and speed up and slow down music, including full-length WAVE and MP3 songs, on your computer. It is a cross-platform application for both Windows and Macintosh.

Tactile12000 includes an Open Sound Control -enabled Native Instruments mixer that lets you control your music from a computer. This feature comes in handy for cueing and mixing your music. You can set the mixer to play a pre-selected song on a track, a sound file stored on your hard drive, or play a cue record. You can control the speed and tempo of the music using the software.
You can use the mixer and the turntables (Pitch and Tempo) to perform a variety of mixing functions, including:
– crossfading, backspinning, and tempo-shifting
– cueing songs from your hard drive
– fast-forwarding through your playlist to find your next favorite song
– pitch-bending (when a song is too high, the pitchbend function shrinks the pitch as you go up the scale. This is great for using a CD or record player for playing a song, or to make it easier to hear a song in a noisy environment.)
– setting a cue point (an indicator of where a song will begin)
– trick mixing (using the two turntables to repeat and reverse songs)
