Houdini Indie is a scene-based game engine for building large scale, immersive virtual worlds and game levels for video games. It allows developers to quickly create large, dynamic, and interesting worlds from scratch, and to keep those worlds updated and dynamic as the game’s development progresses. As an indie developer, you can bring Houdini Indie to life in just a few hours, and it gives you the right tools to create the content, characters, and levels you need for games on consoles or PC.
Terms of Use:
Houdini Indie license is available for use in commercial entities and contracting entities.
The annual gross revenue of commercial entities and contracting entities does not exceed $100K USD.
Houdini Indie cannot be used in the same pipeline as commercial versions of Houdini.
Houdini Indie uses its own file format for saving scenes and assets.
Resolution is restricted to 4096 x 4096 when rendering out animations.
Houdini Indie works with the following third party renderers: RenderMan, Arnold, Redshift and OctaneRender. V-ray and Maxwell Render will be supported in the future.

Adalaide Byrd (born September 18, 1960) is an American novelist. Her works include Swim to the Moon, a literary masterpiece that has been heralded as “a literary masterpiece” by National Book Critics Circle. It was a James Tiptree, Jr. Award Honor Book. Adalaide was the first African American to win an American Book Award.
She is also a poet and was awarded the fellowship of the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, the year the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference was established by Robert Frost. From 1996-99, she served as director of the National Writers Union Foundation.
She has published in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, The Nation, The Boston Phoenix, Los Angeles Review of Books, Los Angeles Times, New York Journal of Books, New Republic, The Guardian, The Chicago Reader, The Philadelphia Tribune, St. Louis Beacon, The American Book Review, The San Francisco Examiner, Chicago Sun-Times, Black Issues Book Review, Essence, Book Sense and Books & Culture.

Connecting to SQL Server from a Linux host with Citrix XenApp
I have Citrix XenApp as my front end. I have SQL Server 2008 Express installed on my Linux server. Now I want to access my SQL Server database from my Linux system, so that I can import data from it. How do I do that?
I am using Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate as the host system. I have Ubuntu 13.04 installed on it.
A:
Since Citrix normally runs its own service within Windows and does not understand Linux, you need to install the same SQL Server on Linux as on Windows. The SQL Server is natively supported on Ubuntu, see for instructions. After that you should be able to access SQL Server from Linux just like with Windows.
