What made us start using TOCR Viewer was the fact that it is the only OCR tool that supports both PDF and TIFF files. This might not be a big problem in some cases, but as we mentioned before, the program allows you to import images from a connected scanning device, which is very convenient for many.
It is not always the case, however, and most people will need to opt for the clean version, which comes without the scanner support. As the name suggests, there is also a PDF version.
The program adds basic import options for Fireworks, Photoshop, Illustrator and Photoshop, but the most useful for many will be the output formats, which allow you to export the recognition data to other programs, such as Microsoft Word, MS Excel, and.csv.
The differences among the different options are intuitive and clear.
