Vermintide 2 is a cooperative four-player melee-focused hack ‘n’ slash: a World War II-themed multiplayer adventure co-op game, where each individual player controls a member of an elite Roman group known as the Eagle Legion, who go to war with the merciless undead hordes.

On top of the standard Vermintide 2 game, this expansion pack includes a wide variety of new content. An in-game book, collectible skins, playable female characters, additional weapons, a booster crate, and more. The expansion pack will be available to download on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC, with the special version available for PlayStation 4 coming in November. Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is the follow-up to Vermintide, the critically-acclaimed and award-winning multiplayer action game featuring brutal action in an Old West setting. In Vermintide 2, three teams of four players fight hordes of the unrelenting Chaos invasion force as they brutally march through Northern Europe.
The story revolves around an Imperial effort to quell a rebellion in the northern Baltic nations. The player takes on the role of The Butcher, the leader of a squad of The Resistance, a group dedicated to destroying the Imperial armies. As The Butcher, you are able to lead the Vermintide agents in a desperate struggle to drive the enemy back and kill him before he turns his fury on the innocent inhabitants of Ubersreik.
Fight against wave after wave of almost impossible enemies and bosses. The Vermintide 2 gameplay lets you play a maximum of four players online, and up to 32 players via split-screen. There are numerous weapons, defensive and offensive.

Vermintide 2 is just the kind of brutal and savage game that truly earns its subtitle. If Vermintide was a knife, Vermintide 2 is a hatchet.
It’s been nearly four years since Swedish studio Fatshark’s first gritty and visceral co-op medieval brawler, Vermintide, released. After its success, however, Fatshark released the expansion to Vermintide, but only made available for Windows. Most PC owners have probably lost access to that game. There’s a reason Vermintide 2 has been in development for so long and is now, thankfully, finally available for Xbox One and PC. It’s much better than the expansion.
The game is set during the Early Middle Ages in Northern Europe and sees three groups of Norse heroes and enemies clash in the dead of winter. The first Vermintide was a three-player cooperative where players would enter a world of gore and murder, often for the sake of petty revenge and power. The game’s best moments – such as slaying a fearsome dragon – came when three players could gang up on the same enemy. It was a rock-solid combat experience.
The new Vermintide 2 is still a frenzied and bloody melee, but it now features four-player co-op and some new character and map choices to make it more entertaining. Vermintide 2 is not a new experience, but it is a very good one, largely because of its cleverly designed missions and interesting new characters.
Vermintide 2’s opening mission takes place in three different locations – the frozen Jomsberg Mountains, a bustling market, and an enemy camp. This act is basically the same as its predecessor, but a few tweaks have been made to make Vermintide 2 more enjoyable for its four-player adventure. One of the biggest changes is the addition of a fourth player character who comes equipped with two different weapon loadouts. When the game’s playable characters go into battle, one player has one weapon and a shield, while the other player has the other weapon and a shield. This frees up a third player to use ranged attacks and play as a support character, such as a healer, who can flank and attack enemies while the rest of the team is busy fighting.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 takes place in a fictional Midgard setting, a set of landscapes that have been ruined by the collectivisation of humans. The Horn, an ancient and mystical object, is central to the plot of the game, a colossal artifact that can not be directly approached. It allows for world traveling, and in a game about a new pollution, this gives an important meaning to the link between weapons in this game. The Horn also houses the vermin of Midgard, liberated from the monsters that plagued humans for many years.
There are many Vermintide 2 weapons available in this game. Not only, but also these weapons are unique. As opposed to the first game, individual weapons have a deeper purpose in the game. They are not only powerful and strong in terms of strength, but they also convey their meaning into the gameplay. The ranged weapons such as the crossbow, hand-gun and hand-grenade help you to gain awesome long-range advantages and the finishers can deal strong direct hits to the enemy.
At E3 2018, we got a chance to play the game again before the release of the game on October 29th, 2018. The first time we played the game, we only had access to the one weapon: the crossbow. Now, we tried the melee weapons in action as well, and we noticed a dynamic of the game with gameplay elements that made this game quite challenging.
As an edition, there is another new addition to the game. It is a collector’s edition called Warhammer: Vermintide 2 – Collector’s Edition Upgrade, to change to the following cosmetic elements, a Vermin Bushmaster mounted in the middle of the game center, a snow-themed hunter’s vest and a light source for the variants of the first.
We got these items just before the hands on play, to see how they look in the game, and how they affect the gameplay. The role of the additional items is particularly important in the gameplay. As the Bushmaster mounted in the center of the game center and the winter vest, you will have a new possibility to hack the wall. It is required that the Horn is adjacent to a wall that already is hacked, in order to let the hunters with the Bushmaster mount and the winter vest go through it.
