blizzard also released an expansion pack for wrath of the lich king in the form of “classic” and “ascended”, as well as all of the patches. players can download them from the original wotlk server, or all the patches can be downloaded from a “fixpack” server. the first patch for wrath was released on november 23, 2009. it featured a number of bugfixes as well as improvements to one of the feature of the expansion: tanking. the second patch, released on january 20, 2010, improved the mechanics of how the gear system works. the third patch was released on january 27, 2010, improving pet battles and raiding. the fourth patch was released on february 3, 2010, which included four new battlegrounds. the fifth patch was released on february 17, 2010, which included three new mounts, a new emote, and a bunch of bugfixes.

since release of wrath, blizzard has released three more updates to the wrath expansion. the first was on august 4, 2010, which included the addition of three new battlegrounds, the “towers of doom” raid, and the “treasure of the tomb of sargeras” battleground. the second patch was released on october 15, 2010, which included a final set of class balance changes. the final update was released on november 5, 2010, which included the final set of class changes and fixes to issues related to world of warcraft classic.

blizzard first announced the classic server in june 2008; the first classic beta was started on august 17, 2008. players still had to pay the same $20 price that players who bought the game had to pay to get the beta access. blizzard only offered half the game to those who got access to the beta; for example, the first raid of wrath was lfg available only to testers, while those who already bought the game had the option of going to the lfg to find the first raid. the expansion itself was released on november 13, 2008.

we have also added another tab on the homepage. it is called “downloads” and it contains some more content, such as updates for legion, as well as installation guides. please take a look around and remember, this is a community that is devoted to helping others.btw, for those of you having trouble with the customized clients, i have some solutions. the first thing you should do is try reinstalling the client.
if you have it, try downloading the 3.3.5a patch. try to avoid using a wotlk patch that includes customizations. these will overwrite your account, and as of now, i havent seen a method to reset the account after installing it.
because wow has hundreds of different models, textures, and effects. the 3.3.5a patch is nearly 99% exactly the same as the 3.5x patch, with the following exception. 2.5, the character model, are not included in the 3.5a patch. this does mean that the wotlk models are not included in the 3.5a patch either, however you can download the wotlk client from our homepage for that purpose.
we also talked about the race changes in wrath of the lich king, specifically with regard to the new goblin race. we discussed how these race changes will affect the zones as well as the new goblin war council zones. we also discussed the new profession lines and gained a better insight on how these will play out. we also talked about the new questing and gathering zones, the continent reduction, the new fiction quest, the new music, and lastly the new class preview videos.
