The computer screen becomes locked due to malware attack. What to do?
It’s not a matter of “what to do”. It’s what you do!
What you do, though, is what matters!
When a PC is infected with ransomware, the owner only has a few hours, or in some cases, a day, before the computer becomes completely inoperable. Once a PC is locked, with a window that says “UNLOCKED” and a ransomware keylogger, ransom notes, or simply a message that says “YOU MADE A MISTAKES CLICK HERE TO UNLOCK NOW” which is a ranting text that may or may not contain some kind of encryption, you have to unlock the PC to be able to use it again, or else you must pay the ransom to get your data back.
However, most infections still don’t have a way to destroy files. That is why we created our new product, “Ransomware Screen Unlocker for USB”. It is our answer to ransomware!
How does it work?
Our Ransomware Screen Unlocker for USB works exactly the same way any other freebie online program does – by downloading and installing it onto a USB drive (or USB flash drive) and then clicking the “Run” button, which is on your keyboard (if your computer has one). This program is easy to use because all you need to do is click and drag the mouse onto the file in Windows Explorer or on the desktop, to open it. If it’s ransomware, then the program will launch it, and that’s it! There’s no advanced functionality to help you with malware, but it does, as mentioned above, help you with ransomware infections.
And, don’t worry, it’s not like we are cluttering your hard drive with another virus, because you don’t have to download the program.
That’s all that the program does. Because it’s a freebie online program, we are not going to assume that you did anything wrong.

Once installed, the Trend Micro PEiD component updates the virus definitions automatically. You can choose to update the definitions on the fly and provide updates on the fly, or you can schedule automatic updates based on the settings you select.
You can also choose to turn on the Local Alerts feature to allow for local file alerts on any virus scan result.
A highly customizable application that will help you to protect your USB device from malware. It supports all USB storage devices including flash and portable hard drives and formatted USB flash drives, as well as SD cards (HC, SD, Micro SD).
You can download the Trend Micro FamilyScan for USB and install it on a USB drive.
You can choose to update the definitions in real time when you connect your USB drive to a computer. Automatic updates can be set to occur in the background in a background updating mode or in the foreground. This allows for updates to be more immediate and relevant to your activities.
You can also choose to set the Auto Download feature to allow for updates to occur automatically when connected to a computer.
You can also add computers to your “Family” to allow for updates on those computers automatically.
You can choose to receive alerts about new virus definitions on USB devices. The Local Alerts feature will send you an e-mail alert with every new virus definition. You can also choose to be alerted when a virus definition is updated for files on USB devices.
You can also choose to add Custom Rules to your local rules file to monitor USB devices for specific threats such as USB drives, removable media, etc. with specific match criteria (such as file types, file attributes, file sizes, etc.)

The software promises to unlock your locked computer in a variety of ways, including through password, hardware key, and bootkey. If your computer has got a screen lock, the application will unlock your PC and allow you to scan for and remove the virus from your computer.
