if i were to rephrase the title of this book, “how i became rich and what i did to get there”, a more accurate title would have been “financial wisdom”. this is the book for those seeking the same. the book goes through various phases of the money cycle, including accumulation, disbursement, refinancing and distribution. it discusses in details about the key money cycle phases and the consequences associated with it. most of the readers would have read dalbar’s study, but it is nice to have the simple explanation.

each of the eight topics in this book is beautifully explained from the traditional finance view point. the book provides you with tools to re-assess the reason why you are invested in some stocks. this is a very practical book for those interested in buying, selling, preserving and maximizing their assets.

the book is very easy to read, and is well organized with boxes that summarize the key points for each chapter. mr. parikh also provides some very useful investment tips that will help an investor to get the most out of his investments.

i have already read it more than 3 times and this one is different from the previous two reads. parag parikh has taken the subject to a new level and presented concepts that have taken me a long time to digest. parag parikh has added some real life anecdotes in his book that makes it more interesting. if you have read the book stocks to riches: insights on investor behavior by parag parikh, it will have served you well. try this book out and you will not regret it.
this classic book came out in 1929 and the contents have not changed since then. it is recommended reading by several elite performers and coaches such as robin sharma, antony robboins etc, when i started reading the book i understood why. this book is not about stocks as such, however i got the right questions from this book which started my journey. this book is only 144 pages long and even the slowest reader can complete the book in under 30 minutes. what i got out of this book was a concept called financial freedom which means getting to a point in time when money will keep flowing to you regardless of whether you work or sleep. a huge concept that is brilliantly explained in this book. if i were the pm of my country, i would make every child from 1st standard to 12th standard read it every year and test them on this.
