This update is to notify the end user of the relocation of AutoCAD Structural Detailing 2014 English language to C:\Program Files (x86)\AutoCAD\R150. This is in accordance with the latest Windows platform spec recommendation. The instructions below will install the new path for the user to have seamless use with the 2014 release of the software.

A new feature of AutoCAD Structural Detailing 2013 is the ability to draw graphs that intersect with curved domain walls and ribs. Although it is an experimental feature, you can draw curved 3D geometry in 2D. This can be a great tool for fabrication drawings that include Duct detail that can be viewed in 2D.

With the introduction of AutoCAD Structural Detailing 2013, users can now achieve their 3D design intent right in the 2D space of a design review. With this update, you can quickly and easily model complex curved geometry such as rib and duct detail in an elevation view. You can also show complex geometry on a flat surface. Use this tool to simply draw, edit and view curves. With the introduction of 3D, design intent no longer has to be constrained to 2D space.

In the new release of AutoCAD Structural Detailing, the AutoCAD Structural Detailing 2013 English Release, we added an interactive feature to help you quickly view and understand your model. With the new Interactive Viewer tool, you can see your 2D modeling results right in the browser. It’s easier than ever to interact with the model in a browser. you can create a rebar detailing drawing by creating a 3d connection from a connection point on a 3d rebar to a point in the model. when you click on the 3d connection, you are presented with a list of objects that can be connected to the rebar, or you can select a connection point in the model. when you select a connection point, you can then type in a name for the connection point or select an object in the model. after you create a connection, you can select the rebar options, including rebar type, rebar number, and gusset angle. you can also specify the base connection point and span of the rebar.
