Debuting director and writer Sashi Kiran Tikka has explored a space of ambivalence and the plight of today’s youth in his new movie Karar The Deal. Produced by Filmy Metro on an investment of Rs.19.85 crore, Karar The Deal is the first venture of Banjara Hills and Panorama Studios in association with Filmy Metro.

So, Karar The Deal, is a flawed attempt at putting together a satire film based on the life of business tycoon Donald Trump. The movie is about a young boy who grows up in the slums of Mumbai and is trying hard to catch up in life. He goes to school and excels in academics but lacks the drive to get ahead in life. He then attempts to make his own living but falls prey to a local goon who wants to have the boy get out of the slums.

The film stars Ahmed Khan, Shiv Pandit, Nithya Menen and Kashmira Shah. Nithya Menen plays an alcoholic tour guide who takes care of kids at a hospital. The film also features an extended cameo from Rajat Kapoor and Pulkit Samrat who shows an impressive performance.

The trailer of the film has gone viral on the Internet since the film was released on YouTube on Friday. With a tagline ‘How To Make It In The Business, The Trumps Way’ the film has generated all types of debate, feedback and confusion among the viewers. The trailer instantly went viral on the Internet and is currently trending on Twitter. Karar The Deal is slated to hit the theatres on June 3.

Director Sashi Kiran Tikka is an RJ and a writer of several web sitcoms. He debuted with the web sitcom Arnaville Seniors which won him the best web-series award at the Millenium Film Festival held in 2011. He is also known for creating Comedy Series ‘Zinda Pyaar’ and ‘Business Houses’.

Writer Khushi Nayak has written scripts for multiple Bollywood movies. His script ‘Agnikri’, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, went to be nominated for the Filmfare award.
