Tom Chambers’ music is published through the Boosey & Hawkes published music imprint, Earview Press, Cambé Singing, and Rifraf. Chambers’ teaching work has appeared in Music Theory Spectrum, The New Mouton Ensemble Review, and The Music Educator.

He has given masterclasses and workshops in the U.S. at Oxford, England, at Wien, Austria, at the Fest der Anfangsgründe at the Saarländische Universität, Germany, and in the UK at the Oxford Music Festival, the Cambridge Music Festival, and the Cambridge Music Festival Centre for Modern Music. He has recorded several CDs, including Rock Cell and Village Rock Cell, Chamber Fire, and Transcendentalis, and has composed scores for various film and television productions, including the motion picture Hotel for Dogs.

Applicants should have some previous experience in music. The minimum age is 18. With intermediate piano skills, knowledge of reading music and basic knowledge of Western theory, however, the applicant needs to have sufficient experience to be able to practice at a level of at least music Bachelor, Master level. Applicants should possess knowledge of both the Western and the Eastern tradition (regardless of their country of origin). The applicants should also have basic knowledge of either a professional computer program or a basic knowledge of sound engineering. If possible, applicants should be familiar with the YAP booking system (i.e. have booked for one year in a previous semester).
The advanced course of study in mathematics for 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 is based on the text Mathematics: Applications and Continuity. The Mathematics department has developed this text in conjunction with the Institute for Mathematics and Scientific Computing, IMSC, at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The text reflects the broad coverage of applied mathematics, including calculus, linear algebra, complex variables, and applications.
