if you open up truespace for the first time, you will see truespace studio, and if you click to the right you will get a list of templates and then you can click on the template you want to work in. if you want to download the dbs file, just right click on the link below to save it to your desktop.

in world trigger you can start with different models, for example a cube and change how you want it to move. simply click on the cube and a box will pop up, then by clicking on the top of the box you can change what will happen. click and hold to move a box along a path. this can be anything as long as you change the properties. it can be a path on the screen or you can click on the properties and type in your own path and change all of the properties by changing the equation. for example if you would like the box to move up and down by +/- 4 with no left or right movement change it to -4-2= +2 for the x-axis and 4+1=5 for the y-axis. clicking on the box will let you edit a property and click again to change it back to that value. clicking and holding will let you move multiple boxes at once. i will explain this a little bit more in the tutorials section. once you are happy with your work, you can start a new project by clicking on the project button in the top left and new project will be added. you can have multiple projects open if you want to work on them all at once.

when building a scene, we place the blocks in the scene using the blocks tab. to keep things simple, we will only be using a single block in this tutorial, but you can have thousands if you like, it’s all a matter of personal preference. so let’s say that we have created a completely empty scene with the open option. from this we can drag a new block to the workspace.
our new block is now a part of the block layer, so we will need to associate it with a texture layer. to do this, we can drag a layer from the asset browser onto the texture layer. this is the easiest way to connect a texture to a block, but we can also do it by using the blocks tab. we can drag the block layer onto the blocks tab and the block will be added.
once a block has been associated with a texture layer, it will be rendered in the same way as the associated texture. from this point on, we can use any of our existing textures, but only one at a time.
