I was kinda afraid with Photoshop Elements, because I loved Photoshop and its huge processing speed.
But after a trial-and-error period, I found the faster speed to be very wrothless. The “Playback” time with the bulk of RAW files I process is almost nil. With raw, effect in Photoshop, it’s roughly 40 min. with SE and nearly 10 min. in Photoshop. Also the bigger the RAW files, the longer it takes to work in Photoshop and Elements. Don’t get me wrong, it still a great work all around, especially for the price, but there are apps and RAW High Speed Processing software. (I’m no pro, so I don’t know of them). I suppose at a larger size, speed processing would be much better (it’s a shame that the Olympus raw software is out of supply right now!).
