In this moment we are in the midst of the very important Preseason League Play!

On today’s Preseason Kickoff edition of Kade’s Corner I was fortunate enough to sit down with the former Eastern Kentucky Colonels linebacker, Dantrell Savage. Dantrell had a stellar collegiate career with the Colonels between 2006 – 2011. He is a two time 2nd Team All-Ohio Valley Conference selection as well as a Second Team All-Gulf South Conference selection. In two years at EKU Dantrell was an integral part of the defense and was often asked to be in the middle of the field with his range. (Which at times led to him being accused of being a 2nd option) With so many great linebackers in the NFL, he chose to come to Vanderbilt on the defensive side of the ball and with his new team, the Tennessee Titans. He says he is very excited to be working with the Titans and is one of the big reasons why he came to Nashville. He is already impressed with the team and has spoken with one of his coaches about how he wants to be an impact defender like the one he played with at Eastern Kentucky. He wants to be the guy to make the tough catch for the Titans and also be that reliable cover for the middle of the field. You may know Dantrell as a standout safety in the Tennessee Titans secondary, but he was a beast on the outside just as well. Dantrell, I had to ask you to let the Titans fans know what they are missing out on while they wait for your team.
DS: I can’t wait to see the fans at Nissan Stadium and to help a team that has the talent to compete for a Super Bowl this year. It is a pleasure to be a part of the Tennessee Titans team.
DS: I am excited to get out and compete against top tier competition in the SEC this year. I feel that I can come in and play at the next level. I can be a part of a great defense.
