Live in Sin
(from Punk Rock Karaoke Radio) One of the best local bands that I’ve been fortunate enough to see perform, Live in Sin, put on a great show at DoubleDown Saloon last Saturday night. With a fairly new set list, the band was able to perform a variety of songs, from new and old, to get the crowd in a good mood. Hopefully they will keep this up as the tour continues. Speaking of which, they’re playing in Denver this Saturday as well. If you’re in the area, head out and see them for one of the best live shows you’ll be seeing this summer. And if you’re not, give them a listen, they sound like a great band.
Up next is The Latticists from Paoli, a band that I’ve been getting into recently. Without knowing much about them, I was excited when I heard their name, and a little surprised when I got their music online. Upon listening to their first few songs, I am happily satisfied, this band has really good potential. They’re very energetic, and have a nice mix of the heavier and softer side to their music. Which may disappoint the folks at Turntable.fm, but their songs are cool and different enough to not feel like noise. Check out their EP Take Me Up on the Highest Mountain, it’s available here. As for their live show, to me it seems to be a pretty hot mess, from the sound that I have of it. But then again, I’m pretty inexperienced with watching live music, so I’ll reserve my judgment until I see it live.
