How to Create a Professional-looking Screen in Photoshop
Graphic designers and photographers use Photoshop to edit images, create new high-quality images, or both.
This video explains how you can easily create a screen that can be used by anyone who doesn’t have Photoshop, and how you can insert text and copy and paste images into the Photoshop document.
It’s a great introduction to Photoshop’s great features, and much more detailed than the YouTube tutorial.
To keep things simple you can use a simpler and less expensive programme called GIMP. GIMP is free and open source. You can use it to create high quality images for your website, brochures or school project.
The video explains how to use GIMP to create a simple graphics for the left side of your website. It’s a good intro for beginners and shows how to change the perspective of an image.
The video explains how to create and edit photos in Photoshop.
You can also create screens and logos for websites – but remember, it doesn’t replace Photoshop, and it’s not free.

[Artery-venous anastomosis].
The authors report preliminary observations of a unilateral, extracorporeal autotransplantation of a marginal artery, on the internal face of a tumour of the lobe of the thyroid. Surgical and histological results are good, and the authors believe that in the near future the procedure will be performed systematically in the treatment of cancers of the follicular epithelium. A very important stage has been reached in this type of operation: -the establishment of a suitable vascular pedicle and -the management of the circulation of the transplant.Nicotine addiction is an aversive state that responds to reinforcement with food or alcohol, both of which can offer relief from withdrawal symptoms, or to punishment with electric shock, both of which can increase withdrawal symptoms. We propose to investigate the brain systems that respond to these and other drugs of abuse, and to examine the underlying neuronal mechanisms for withdrawal and reinforcement. The specific aims are: (1) To characterize the brain systems that mediate the motivational, motor, and autonomic responses induced by nicotine, food, and alcohol. (2) To characterize the brain systems that mediate the aversive state induced by withdrawal from nicotine, and to examine the interaction between these systems and the brain systems that mediate reinforcement. (3) To identify and characterize the neurochemical systems that are activated during withdrawal from drugs of abuse and associated withdrawal-related anxiety. (4) To test whether enhancement of the dopaminergic system in the mesolimbic system is essential for maintaining withdrawal and other aversive states, and to examine the role of a proposed GABA-gated chloride channel, the GABA-A subtype, in this system. Other aims are: (5) To clarify the role of the GABA-A subtype in drug-induced reward and reinforcement. (6) To examine the interaction between the mesolimbic dopaminergic system and the proposed GABA-A subtype in drug-induced reward and reinforcement. (7) To test whether the GABA-A subtype is essential for the maintenance of drug dependence. To accomplish the goals of this proposal, we will use a number of anatomical, pharmacological, and behavioral techniques. We will investigate the role of the mesolimbic dopaminergic system and the GABA-A subtype in aversive states induced by various drugs of abuse. The role of the GABA-A subtype in drug-induced reward will also be investigated.. Conjecture 4.1
Clinico-pathological findings of drug-induced reactive arteriopathy.
Cases of drug-induced reactive arteriopathy were investigated by light- and electron microscopy. In the patients with drug-induced arteritis, some disorders were observed in small arteries on gross and microscopic examinations. The following findings were most characteristic: (1) Each episode of the drug-induced vasculitis occurred without any particular precipitating factor. (2) The inflammatory reaction was followed by thrombotic change. The thrombotic changes were considered to be a reactive hyperplasia of the vascular wall by the local formation of fibrous tissue at the site of arterial wall damage. On electron microscopy, mild proliferation of ground substance around the widened basement membrane, proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells, and similar changes were observed in the thickened arterial wall. These pathological changes were considered to be the results of damage to vascular walls. A possible pathogenesis of drug-induced reactive arteriopathy in this report is discussed.Expression of metallopeptidase inhibitors in pancreatic beta-cell transplants into streptozotocin-diabetic rats.
Sustained hypoglycemia was induced in streptozotocin (STZ)-diabetic rats by transplantation of dispersed rat pancreatic islets into the renal capsule. The transplanted islets were analyzed for the expression of secreted inhibitory peptides 1, 4, 10, and 13 and the related Zn2+-binding metallopeptidase inhibitors TIMP-1, TIMP-2, TIMP-3, and TIMP-4. In addition, the amount of specific cellular inhibitors of metallopeptidase activities, reisletin and reisterin, was quantitated in the transplanted islets. Inhibition of metallopeptidase activities, as detected by a sensitive assay using the synthetic chromogenic peptide, S-2266, was observed in transplants both 2 and 12 wk after transplantation. The expression of TIMP-1, -2, and -3, but not TIMP-4, occurred preferentially in the cortical region of the transplants. The amount of TIMPs in the transplants was estimated to be approximately a 1000-fold higher than the inhibitory activity observed. TIMPs were not expressed in native islets or in the sera of normal or diabetic rats. Reisletin was not detected in
