Akella has touched the lives of not only the underprivileged but also the financially stable sections of the society, and holds the view that the society is equally responsible. This has been possible because the foundation is making sure that its sustainability is guaranteed. The foundation strictly adheres to core values of good governance, transparency and rule of law and believes that such a foundation would never compromise on the same.

Akella has also established ” Ramana Gokula Kendram” in the name of Srinivasa Ramanujan at Kanakapura, which was inaugurated by the Minister for Finance and Coordination, Sri Muralidhar Rao, and the deputy governor of the Reserve Bank of India, Sri C. Rangarajan. It has a library, where books on Srinivasa Ramanujan are displayed. The foundation has published several of his works in English, and has published many of his letters and short stories in Telugu. In addition, Akella has also published Ram Gopal Varma’s ” The man behind a mask,” and ” The Godman at the crossroads,” and in the wake of this, the foundation has received a large number of letters from his admirers. This has provided a book to the shelves of many of his fans worldwide.

The first batch of the students of the first school, namely, Ramprakashikantharam school of Indian School of Social Work, Bangalore started on 1st September, 2010. At present, there are six schools. The institution is recognized by Ministry of Human Resource Development (Government of India) and deemed to be schools . Some of the schools run by ‘Akella’ are: Ramprakashikantharam School of Indian School of Social Work Bangalore, Pathikulam School of Indian School of Social Work, Hemanthpura school of Indian School of Social Work, Akella Math school of Indian School of Social Work, Lucknow, Akella Degree College at Kolkata.
