The following tutorial is for those who have little or no Photoshop knowledge. Photoshop has a very powerful and extensive array of tools available for you to use, and as you use those tools, you’ll also want to learn about their shortcuts to speed up your workflow. This tutorial describes how to find those shortcuts and also illustrates how to use the most powerful parts of Photoshop with an introduction to the less obvious tools. ## Part I: Preparing, Choosing, and Organizing an Image
Photoshop opens with a window on which you see the currently selected image in the center and a number of navigation panels (see Figure 1-1). The left and rightmost panels are the Thumbnails panel and the Guides panel, respectively, and the top panel is the Photoshop Layers panel. The bottom panel in Figure 1-1 is the History panel, which lists images that have been edited in Photoshop previously.
FIGURE 1-1: The Layers panel is where you organize your image by creating and removing layers, and the History panel stores the previous saved states of the active image.
In this part of the tutorial, you start your Photoshop editing session by creating a new image and saving it. You then open this image and organize it by creating layers. Finally, you prepare to begin editing the image in the Layers panel.
## Linking Up with the Canvas
In order to use the many tools and features in Photoshop, you must first create a canvas of some sort, which is essentially a blank area for you to work in. You can use one of several tools, depending on what you want to do:

Arthur E. Merrill
Arthur E. Merrill (September 26, 1877 – April 16, 1957) was a politician and farmer from the U.S. state of Michigan.
Biography
Merrill was born in Madison, Wisconsin, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in civil engineering. Merrill then moved to Lakeview, Michigan, where he engaged in farming.
Career
Merrill was elected as a Republican to the United States House of Representatives of the 62nd, 63rd, and 64th Congresses, serving from March 4, 1911, to March 3, 1919. He was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1918 to the 65th Congress.
Merrill was appointed as the United States Immigration Commissioner in 1920, and held this office for the next twenty-two years.
Death
Merrill died in Baroda, New Jersey, on April 16, 1957. He was interred at Oak Hill Cemetery in Menominee, Michigan.

I have the following loop:

Now what I’m looking to do is give the user the ability to query for an arbitrary week, at an arbitrary date.
I’ll give an example to make it more clear:

And of course, that’s just a very simple example. But what happens if the user searches for 2010-11-10 (now they should get all of the weeks in between 2010-11-10 and 2010-11-11)? And what if they search for 2010-11-01, and they receive results that don’t line up for that date?
The only way I can think of to do this would be to build a gigantic HashMap for every week, and make the user iterate through every single one, until they get back the results they want. What do the developers out there think? Is there a better data structure I could use?

If you are worried about the overhead of the timestamps, you can use the Joda time library in Java, and it will automatically
