version 3 of amplesounds electric guitars is far more than just a new set of names. this significant upgrade adds a new guitar amp simulator that may rival any on the market. other new features include revised sample sets, updates to the riffer and strummer, a new dsp fx system, along with updates to the ui, settings, the sample editor, main panel, and the elimination of 32-bit plugin support and addition of vst3.

as a built-in function, the tab player works seamlessly with the ample sound instrument engine, which has extremely customized guitar playing logic so as to model a real-world guitar being played. the tab player can even judge on its own to automatically add some refining articulations when it thinks it is appropriate, such as slapping on strings or body, or other realistic and indispensable noises.

it is worth noting that the cabinet modeled on the amp is one of 7 possible for the cabinet model. this means you could be using a vox ac30, but if you wanted the fender bassman, you would need to mix it in the mic-mixer along with the other components. the amp modeling is quite good for the prices of the amp sims. in the end you will need to decide what you are looking for. amplesounds amp sim is quite flexible, making the purchase a very worthwhile investment. the amp modeling is also accurate. all of the sounds are played back through the amp simulator with a good variety of tone and tonal characteristics. if you like your amps to sound like the real thing, this is your amp, they sound excellent.
i also tried the amp sims with guitarists i recorded, who used a variety of amps and mics. all were impressed with the sounds, which really surprised me as most amp sims i have used in the past have tended to sound either very bright or very dull. with the ample sound amp sims, i got a more natural sound and was more able to use the mics without the sound being muddy or harsh. the difference was very noticeable, especially when i did was mix the cabinet sounds with the amps. my guitarists were also impressed with the amp sim library, as they had never recorded with an amp simulator before. the sound quality is just that good. amplesounds provided an excellent demo of their products, and i was able to offer my guitarists the opportunity to record with the amp sims. if they liked the sound, i gave them the option of purchasing the amp sims and will pass it onto you. i recommend the amp sims to everyone. if you like the sound of your amp, you might want to look into an amp sim, they are pretty good. they will sound great on mics and cabinets you already own. if you dont have an amp, or just dont want to spend the money on an amp sim, i highly recommend amplesounds amps, they have a great sound, and even if you dont want to spend the money, they are a great sounding amp sim. i give ample sound ample guitar lp iii v3.0.0 win 4 out of 5 stars. i would definitely buy it again and recommend it to anyone i know who records guitar.
