The tool provides runway recommendations based on current METAR and any restrictions specified in the local SOP. Additionally, the tool provides frequency information for facilities at the airport.

The British prime minister needs reassurances about the confidentiality of its intelligence sources in the wake of the “Chilcot” report on Iraq, Scotland Yard has said.

The issue came to the fore in reports of a secret inquiry into the killing of the late Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.

The report found that intelligence from the Sunday Times about Hussein’s attempts to buy uranium from Niger was the “proximate cause” of the 2003 invasion.

Amid fears of reprisals against UK sources who fed the information to the newspaper, the inquiry under Lord Butler made at the behest of Prime Minister Gordon Brown is refusing to divulge the information.

Metropolitan Police commissioner Sir Paul Stephenson said: “I have been very clear with [Home Office minister Lord] Taylor that [there are] a number of cases that are at that very early stage.”

While the report is named “Inquiry into the circumstances of the death of Dr Hussein” rather than “Chilcot”, police sources said the report was almost certain to be headed by Sir John Chilcot.

The final report is expected to lay bare the calibre of Tony Blair’s “judgements” about the threat posed by Saddam Hussein.

Sources have admitted that the inquiry is likely to unearth “dark secrets” from inside the White House, which have remained hidden due to the “exceptionally sensitive” nature of the information, which is believed to have been compiled by the MI6.

A source close to the inquiry said: “If you get the US and Russia on the phone to complain, you don’t throw it out there in public. It is not the way the world works. We have dealt with it. It’s not like some kind of gossip column. This is a serious thing.”

1. Run.bat file to create both the Station and Airport folders under %appdata% (or where you store application data)
2. Run the 2.bat file to get the application working. You will be prompted to select a folder for the application to store data into. After running the setup file, you will have the application present in your startup folder. 

Expected Results:

ATC Assistant will retrieve the METAR and run the forecast for the METARs. The warning letter will be displayed in the bottom right corner of the screen. This warning letter will only be displayed if the run is attempted and the METAR is within 10 days of expiration of METAR data.

ATC Assistant bugs:

Not all METAR reports will be displayed. Some are filtered out. The description field may not be display correctly, but it will still be saved.
