How to create a document

AutoCAD is a multi-file application that requires a file in order to work properly. You can’t just start to work on a file and start drawing just like you do in other design softwares.

First of all, you’ll have to create a file using the New File option.

A new document will open and a “Select Objects” panel will appear on the left. This panel can be switched off in the Preferences dialog box, under the General tab.

Once you have selected the objects, you’ll have to open a perspective view of your new drawing.

You can create different views in AutoCAD by pressing the “+” button on the main menu bar, selecting a perspective, then clicking “Start Perspective.”

How to restore a disconnected Android Data Source Pool after restarting the app?

My app has a DataSource that accesses a SQLite database in the app’s data/ directory.
On exit, it calls finish() on the activity containing the DataSource, to allow the OS to close the database connection if there’s no other activity left running that needs it.
The DataSource lives on until the app is killed. So on exit and restart, the DataSource is alive.
However, it seems that if there’s no other activity left that uses the DataSource, when the user opens the app again, the DataSource is disconnected from the database.
I have no need for the DataSource for this activity, but I need the database to still be available. I can’t figure out how to keep the DataSource connected.
So I’m looking for a way to save the state of the DataSource so that it’s still connected to the database when the user restarts the app, rather than re-creating the DataSource and dropping the connection when the app restarts.
The activity that the DataSource lives in is a ViewPager, so I want to preserve the state of the ViewPager/DataSource and initialize it when the user starts the activity.

Figured it out myself.
I used SharedPreferences to store the current state of the DataSource.
Then in onCreate() of the activity containing the DataSource, I check to see if the state is saved, and only initialize the DataSource if it’s not saved.
If the user exits the app, the DataSource is automatically initialized, and the saved state of the DataSource is loaded, so on exit and restart, the DataSource is still connected to the database.
