Spring dependency injection doesn’t work in a same package but works in another one

I am a beginner in spring, I have a question about Spring dependency injection.
I have a class name AsyncUtil with public static final AsyncUtil instance = new AsyncUtil() in its package.
I want to inject this instance to another class named SendMessageServiceImpl, which is in the same package.
Here is the package structure:

If I declare the Spring bean in the class and use @Autowired, it works.
@Autowired
private AsyncUtil asyncUtil;

But if I try to do something like this:
@Autowired
private AsyncUtil asyncUtil;

@Autowired
private SendMessageServiceImpl sendMessageService;

I got a NoSuchBeanDefinitionException.
Why does Spring not support dependency injection within the same package?

Spring uses only one global context for whole application, hence each class with @Autowired annotation is using its own context. If you want to share same context for all components use @Configuration annotation or @Import annotation to import context from application context (this does not work for web applications though).
