Autodesk was founded in 1982 by brothers Jim and John Rose as the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (RHIT) in Terre Haute, Indiana. I’m doing a Windows Store App and I’m stuck on something.
I want to do something like this:

But because the string is used in a function, it’s impossible to remove it. So the only way is to set it to a default value or I can remove it.
But if I try to remove it, I get the error: Cannot set private member’str1′ with non-private setter ‘Public Shared str1 As String’.
I can use the Default constructor, but this isn’t working when I use the MyClass in another class.
I know this might not be the best option, but how to make it work?

It is not possible, that’s why you get the error that you get. That way, if you use that string in a function, the application gets easier to break because the user could simply change it and break it.
