In 2017 the command-line version of BIML and PowerShell language support has also been included with the next version of the application.

In AutoCAD 2017, the Corel March 2017 update includes new features such as the parametric system, which is the ability to design models in a parametric way and to change the geometry based on certain design variables.

In 2018 AutoCAD released the “Dynamics” functionality to provide a three dimensional modeler that supports working with physical objects.

In 2019, AutoCAD 2019 brings both 2D and 3D version of CAD Drafting. In addition to that, there is a wide range of improvement to the overall application including the parametric modelling and the CAD Drafting has been expanded to 2D and 3D.
