AutoCAD is an integrated development environment (IDE) for architects, drafters, engineers and other design professionals, having user interface and application programming interface (API) options for Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux-based operating systems, including Mobile devices. AutoCAD is available in two types of pricing:
Premium – for the price of the software, you are granted the right to use the software for life
– for the price of the software, you are granted the right to use the software for life Unlimited – for a one-time payment of $795, which includes the Premium version of AutoCAD for life, plus the AutoCAD Data Management System (DMS) and AutoCAD Cloud.
AutoCAD is a cloud-based platform, allowing for users to access and use the software from anywhere at any time. Each user has a user ID and password, and can be tied to a Workgroup that is specific to their company.
1. Introduction
AutoCAD is a commercial computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting software application. Developed and marketed by Autodesk, AutoCAD was first released in December 1982 as a desktop app running on microcomputers with internal graphics controllers. Before AutoCAD was introduced, most commercial CAD programs ran on mainframe computers or minicomputers, with each CAD operator (user) working at a separate graphics terminal. AutoCAD is also available as mobile and web apps.

AutoCAD
There is no limitation for using other programming languages to add custom features in AutoCAD; however, a license for them would be required. Visual LISP-based programming allows developing custom features.
Terminology and features
Because AutoCAD was originally developed for the architectural and civil engineering fields, most of the terminology and features are based on those areas. The AutoCAD terminology table lists all of AutoCAD’s terms for analysis, design, drawing, and so forth, with definitions.
Features
The product features include:
A variety of input and output functions
Advanced technology-based drawings
Programs and add-ons, to add features such as functions, commands, and blocks
New drawing options, such as the ability to save a drawing as a DXF file
Users can create custom Ribbon tabs and customize the ribbon bars
Application programming interface (API) for scripting
Editions
AutoCAD LT and Enterprise are based on AutoCAD 2016.
AutoCAD Architecture and AutoCAD Electrical are based on AutoCAD 2012, AutoCAD Mechanical is based on AutoCAD 2008, AutoCAD Civil 3D is based on AutoCAD 2009 and AutoCAD Plant 3D is based on AutoCAD 2011.
User interface
There is no operating system or device independence and the user interface can be different across different operating systems. An image to show how the interface differs between the different operating systems can be seen below:
The product version is always listed at the top of the window. For example, in AutoCAD LT, the product version is AutoCAD 2010 (LT). The version number can be entered in an “About” window.
The user interface includes the Ribbon, a sidebar and the Docking system.
The Ribbon
The main part of the AutoCAD user interface is the Ribbon. The Ribbon consists of tabs and toolbar icons that can be displayed at any time. All of the available commands are listed in the ribbon along with their brief definitions and screen image to show how it looks. The toolbar
The toolbar consists of the icons that have been selected by the user to display. Each toolbar icon has a defined shortcut to perform a function. The icons are categorized by function

If the required license file is not found on the server, please download the License from www.AutoCAD.com and place it at C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2007 and then try to use the Keygen again.
If the keygen is still not working or you encounter other issues, try to uninstall the old version and reinstall the software.
In Windows Vista/7, please go to Programs and Features and uninstall all Autodesk Autocad 2007 and AutoCAD 2007.
Upgrading
When upgrading to Autodesk Autocad 2007 or AutoCAD 2007 from Autodesk AutoCAD 2006 or earlier versions, the following steps are necessary:

Using with a new license key
If you use a newly purchased license key, the following steps are necessary:
1. The license key you used to purchase the product will not work with this version of AutoCAD. The new license key contains a unique serial number that identifies your specific software and your specific account.
2. When you first run AutoCAD, the Autodesk website will prompt you for the unique serial number from your recently purchased license key. After you enter this number, the system will be registered to your particular product and your account. This process can take up to 30 minutes. During this time, it may be necessary to log out of the Autodesk website and log back in to allow the registration process to complete.
3. At any time, you can view your unique serial number by clicking ‘help’ (on the View menu), selecting ‘License Info’ and then selecting ‘Serial Number’.
4. After you have successfully registered, the system will retain your unique serial number, so that you will

Drawings are now organized into folders. This means you can more easily find related files and collaborate with others on your drawings. You can also quickly open and close multiple drawings at one time.
You can now define what constitutes a batch, allowing you to carry out common tasks like batch-merge, batch-convert, or batch-share drawings.
Enhanced collaboration with models:
You can now create models that contain 2D and 3D drawings in one single document. You can also add text to create a legend. (video: 1:15 min.)
Collaborate with others on your models with a new communication layer. You can now talk to other users and respond directly to them, allowing the work to progress more seamlessly and quickly. (video: 1:15 min.)
You can now make direct changes to other users’ work, either by swapping the tool buffer with the other user’s, or by directly pointing at the other user’s work in the 3D view. (video: 1:15 min.)
Add data to the CAD system via the ERD (Extended Review Document). Create data sheets to hold review comments.
Under the hood:
The Future Planning feature helps you view the shape of your drawing before you begin working. (video: 1:40 min.)
