it is possible to use the babylon toolbar man in the right to delete the babylon toolbar, then use the babylon uninstaller to remove all the related files. however, i strongly recommend you use these instructions, as they are foolproof, and they have worked flawlessly for me on several different computers over the years.

right-click the start button on your taskbar and select “task manager”. double-click “applications”. expand the toolbar section and locate “babylon.exe.” drag the file to the “quit” tool and select “del”. also, make sure to exit the browser before quitting the task manager.

when you’ve done that, restart your browser. note: this method will also remove other options like mailto, resizable, etc. you could probably try this method in conjunction with “move to webroot” in the “babylon” to remove the remaining options as well.

if you’d prefer to use a utility to remove the toolbar and related files, try adwcleaner. i highly recommend this tool. it is free and fairly easy to use. you should also run an anti-virus scan before you get rid of the toolbar. if you’d like to read more about the tool, see the tom’s hardware review of adwcleaner .

once you’ve run all of that, download adwcleaner. double-click the file to run the installer. once it is installed, click the “clean up” button, and remove the “babylon.exe” file from the windows system. be sure to exit adwcleaner before closing out of the program.

if the babylon toolbar does appear on your browser, there are a couple things you can try.

press the alt key to bring up the context menu of the toolbar, then choose an option such as “move to bookmarks” or “empty toolbar”, but make sure you click “ok” afterwards.
press the windows button, then hold down “alt” and “x” to bring up the context menu of the toolbar, then drag the toolbar off to the bottom of your browser window. it will stay there (without the original home page), and if you have a number of windows open, babylon will still appear in the bottommost window.

this is good news for everyone — we know russell is a world-class filmmaker with a proven track record for making oscar-nominated movies. it will be interesting to see if the actors in the script can bring their a-game.
this process removes the babylon toolbar from the browser. however, if you have any other extensions or customizations you made to the browser, it may affect the configuration. try removing babylon.search from all available sites until only the default toolbar from firefox shows up.
to remove the toolbar, use firefox’s built in customization features. click on the gear button at the top of the browser, select options. when the options window opens, find the “open by default” button and drag it below the “home” button to reorder your toolbars. a small toolbar will open with the babylon search tool visible, which you can use to customize the browser as much or as little as you’d like.
babylon.gui.control.createbutton(control, text, size, options {}): creates a standard button of size. the values of text and size are passed directly to the controls default constructor. optionally, you can specify the color of the text, color and background of the button and the position of the button in the flow of the gui.
babylon.gui.control.addchild(control, child, options { layout=backwardflow}): this function will create a stackpanel (horizontal or vertical based on options) and will add your control plus a textblock in it. this function should work in the same way for other controls.
