file info tool is a file & folder information tool that allows you to retrieve much more information than the traditional file & folder information dialog. it provides information such as the file name, size, date/time created, time/date modified, and the compressed size, as well as detailed information about the file type (mp3, flash, microsoft word document, pdf, jpg and more.) this also includes a detailed summary of the file’s contents, including file name, path, size, date/time created and last modified as well as version history.

access mode also allows you to specify an access type for each directory, which allows you to enable access in a file/folder when using a password to decrypt the data, but also to specify that the file/folder not need any password to be opened or that specific files/folders should be password protected.

brute force attack: this method is basically the same as the dictionary attack method, but it can search dictionaries in any order in the main dictionary (sorting by rules). so, instead of the order of the dictionaries in the groups being fixed, it can be randomly selected by a special (and configurable) random generator. most dictionaries of dictionaries contain their own rules for updating their own order, so we don’t have to worry about the order of the dictionaries in groups. this can be seen as a sort of “automation” of the dictionary attack rule.
positional mask attack: we analyze the password, and in places where we identify a known character, we replace it by a certain mask. if we find a mask and a character that matches, we can’t locate the real characters and we have to stop the search, but if we found a mask that was supposed to be there, we can locate the real characters. so, the password is cracked in 3 steps: find the first character of the password, match it with a mask character, if you find a match, find the next, and so on.
merge attack: we can select one or several groups of letters (upper or lowercase, numbers, etc.), and we can even define a dictionary of selected characters. if we find a character that matches a character in one of the selected groups, we only check if the mask of the current (real) character exists in the dictionary of the groups (mask characters). this is like reversing the dictionary attack method: we select a dictionary in the form of a dictionary of dictionaries. the interesting thing is that the mask characters of the character found in the previous step are inserted into the dictionary (this is a setting). in this attack, we search for the mask characters of the character in the password, and the mask characters are found in the active dictionary. so, at the end we have a list of mask letters and their positions, so we have to search the real character in the remaining places. if we find one of them, we check if there is a mask character in the dictionary and so on, just in reverse order.
