I use the Presenter view every single day because it saves me a lot of time in updating images for publication.

Adobe is doubling down on its Photoshop ambitions in 2019. In addition to launching a new mobile-focused version of the application in the fall, the company is also introducing Photoface, a new workflow toolkit produced by a coalition of experts and enthusiasts. When you’re making other edits, you may want to quickly perform a selection that will be used later. The new Add Layer Mask allows you to do this in the browser. You’ll still have to switch to Photoshop when you’re happy with the mask, but now you can do it right there — with an easy click.

By using the Content Aware Selection tool, you can now quickly create a selection in the browser and then make intuitive edits in Photoshop. This works on a variety of surfaces, including the sides of groups, legends, annotations and in-groups.

You can use the new Group Select feature, which allows you to select objects by Group. This is great for web designers, as it allows you to select group of things and update edits like single selections.

If you spend a lot of time in the browser, you may want to edit or make selections there and then switch to Photoshop. The new Copy Layer Mask over to Photoshop feature allows you to do just that.

With Photoshop Cloud Services, now you can store your assets in the cloud and work with them on multiple computers and devices. However, you still have the flexibility to edit the files offline and they’ll be updated automatically when you save them from a web browser. It is available now for Creative Cloud subscribers.

The Mount Olympus Creative Cloud package allows users to create, store, and manage creative assets. They can store all the assets they create, such as photos, illustrations, graphics, video, and other design elements, in the cloud for easy access from any device.

There are other less powerful suites like GIMP and Corel, that also have some of the same or similar features to Adobe. They do not perform like full featured Photoshop, however. While there are some online tutorials, they are aimed at people who are just starting out, rather than experienced professionals.

Blender and the Blender Foundation ( www.blender.org ) have been working for many years to reinvent how 3D computer-generated images are created, and are one of the most popular 3D software tools around. If you are (or would like to be) skilled at 3D creation, you should consider learning Blender.

Ultimately, you can use Photoshop’s native functions, and most of Photoshop’s functions can be used together with the tools you see mentioned above and in this article. However, an automation wizard is much faster when you are doing more complex work. You can set up automations to perform repetitive tasks across your documents systematically and in a single shot.

Some editors might prefer to work from a contact sheet or a master photo with all of the digital files from the photo shoot in raw format. This helps to keep each design job separate. You will be able to get the best from a contact sheet when you are finishing a job and working on all the associated files and the design can be scaled up or down at any time. However, you might find it opens up working on raw files, image selection, and color matching, when you need to pre-compose and create your designs. The biggest advantage is that you save a lot of computing resources and get consistent results.

While some are looking for easy-to-use tools that make it easier to do so, Adobe CC has gone to the trouble of creating them. Toolbar and Layer Styles have been redesigned to provide better ways to work with layers, shapes, and paths. Photoshop CC also includes the capability to edit video with Layer Effects, which allows you to create and adjust video effects, transitions, and titles. This is actually done with a single tool that streams the visual content from the video onto the selected layer.
