ffmpeg not well.. i wanted to build unittests but they all failed with bad timestamps. so what i do is very similar to pcsync (see????) with ps-pcm dshow. now, ps-pcm has bad timestamps so the interface goes to apple’s audio interface. here is the line from the command-line to specify the timecodes. the first one is the remote timecode the remaining are the local timecode. the one they all are referenced to is the the master. that looks like this.

i also had to find out how to do the waveform. there is the acshow which only shows on the file screen, then i used program from a friend to make a waveform.. and then the final one was using sbclite to make a waveform of the sound. then i used ffplay to play the waveform only in the filter. it was nice, and a bit of extra work. but the end results were much more beautiful and simple to set up.

then there were the issues i had with using the ps audio controls.. so i had to make my own audio control called apsctrl. it mostly worked like ps-pcm, but instead of syncing to the audio device, it synced to a file format control. not the best solution, but the only way i could get it to work. was to use ffmpeg’s rawvideo to capture the stream, and then videofilter to cut the video for audio. ps-pcm used vidt to deal with the video, and the video filter with rawvideo. then it worked like a charm. (this is how vidt works, but the filter is more efficient and it is reading a file, and then plays it.)

to ensure your privacy, the software will not record audio and video sources if the computer is turned on, i.e. computer screen recording is off. to turn on screen recording, click on the “start” button, go to the menu, “settings”, and “start” the “settings” option, you will find “screen recording” option. click on the “settings” option to change the video and audio recording parameters.
ffmpeg tries to prevent leaking the contents of the configuration (charset, bit depth, colorspace, audio/video/subtitle drivers, etc.) to any applications or to the hosts file. these are necessary informations that are needed to operate your media player properly. this is not always possible. if it is not possible, you should consider using a stream controller that offers correct settings.
cdk is not compiled by default in mplayer since it’s really useful to have it for windows in general, and the vast majority of user don’t need it. it will only be compiled by a make or an svn-built version if you explicitly request it by -nodetect. if you do need it for mplayer, feel free to ask for a build.
this policy allows ffmpeg to install a kernel debugger in order to debug a stack overflow or other hard crash. this will prevent ffmpeg from crashing when such an event occurs. to be notified of such a crash, write “crash.handler=1” in the mplayer command line.
this policy is needed in environments where ffmpeg may need to access network shares or modify system files. it specifies which groups of users should have access to the network shares. also, it specifies which groups of users should have access to the system files.
