Elden Ring Crack is an action RPG developed by Prime Focus and published by Square Enix. Its story takes place in the Lands Between, a vast world that has been drifting between the mundane and surreal. The player assumes the role of an Elden Lord and must overcome the trials of the Lands Between and transcend from the human world to the world of Elden. While developing Elden Ring, Prime Focus aimed to create a game of unknown fantasy that was unlike anything that had previously been seen. Elden Ring will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2019 in Japan, and Steam worldwide in 2019.
Gotta love the dead-horse comparison of MMOs to WOW…I’m not surprised by the comments since it can be a pretty negative one.
The only big game I played for many many years was Guild Wars 1 and 2 and I’m still stuck with the problem of being able to max 2 characters, assuming I picked my main and sub up from the beginning right. The game was fun but it didn’t set out to be an MMORPG, it is an FPS/RPG hybrid.
I’m still waiting for EQ2 to top that game in scope and complexity, considering it is the last of that type of game and has been for years. It was a wonderful game and sadly shut down before I was old enough to enjoy it in anything other than nostalgia.
The success of the internet has led to a broadening of what it means to be an MMO, more complex games have more things to do, there are more people in the game, and as a result things like raids (imo, the only game I still enjoy, I don’t mind if they go away) become less popular.
I’m not sure if I’d call this “cancelling” though, since it is still being made.
WoW is partly to blame for this. Wotlk did an incredible job of making that game something other than a warring tribal game. Putting a clear focus on other aspects of gameplay, and moving away from rolling large armies of people who don’t interact with each other, was a huge change of direction.
No matter how much you try to call it a spiritual successor, it’s not the same game, it’s a side-remnant of a game that’s been released, people have moved on to much better things.
The only thing that MMO’s share is that they have the same basic structure and gameplay. Other than that,
