with the mwc on the horizon and samsung now unveiling their first new galaxy device in 2.5 years, we sat down with the verge’s tipster to get the lowdown on the upcoming samsung galaxy s ii. most details are still unknown, but we found a couple of new details to share.
we have been promised the world by android pundits that we will have the galaxy s ii in our hands by the end of march, but there are no details yet about the device. we are at the point where samsung is ready to unveil this phone and i am confident they will. from what we have seen from prototypes, they are working out all the kinks and optimizing the display. android 3.2.1 is now in samsung’s hands and they are testing the build. there is much to do and they are doing it with the s ii.

powervr sgx 540 was the first announced gpu for the 10-20% for a price reduction that the sgx 543mp2 was going to be and this is the gpu of the samsung galaxy nexus. however, almost since the ipad has been announced, apple has been touting their gpu’s capabilities at a slightly lower price and it seems that the performance is going to be close to the powervr 543mp2 in the galaxy nexus for only a little over a third of the price. this is a huge shock for the galaxy nexus and anyone thinking of buying a tablet in the near future.
