Green Tunnel is an anti-censorship utility designed to bypass DPI system that are put in place by various ISPs to block access to certain websites.

Green Tunnel is a very good tool which only seeks to help you access websites restricted by ISPs, who do not allow you access to them through standard means. With this tool, you are able to use a peer-to-peer network to play games, browse social networks or simply request access to politically sensitive content. But, while the underlying protocol is highly private, the discovery of this could also result in your IP address being leaked to the end users.
While you might be tempted to assume the app comes with some form of anonymity, this is not the case. In fact, you can actually be tracked as the app uses the standard system system to resolve the IP address, which makes the app really traceable. However, the usage of a peer-to-peer network in itself would never allow the end users to identify you. To make sure you are not identified, each connection is terminated within a few minutes and the IP address is then discarded.
Another thing to note is that, by default, Green Tunnel is not compatible with closed networks such as the Windows XP. However, with the developer promising to maintain compatibility in future versions, you can be hopeful that most of these issues will be resolved in the future as well.
The program is reasonably simple to use as it does not require too much time to get started. Furthermore, the app is capable of handling all the major browsers, but it would be best if you first try it with Chrome.
To set up your connection, you are first prompted with a window that lets you know the app is on or off. While this is fairly straightforward and there is nothing amazing about it, the fact that it is for the interface can feel quite annoying as it limits your actual usage of the app. Next, you are shown the intro. Once Green Tunnel is installed, launch it and log in with your email and password of your choice.
To log into the app, you will need the email and password of your desired account. To add a new email address, just click the ‘+’ icon and then the ‘Add email address’ button.
Select the email address you would like to add.
After selecting the email, enter the password of the given email and click the ‘Create’ button.
Click the ‘Free’ button to open up the countries list.
Select the country you wish to connect.
At this stage, you will be prompted to set a username and password for your account.
