Hotel Sowls is a scrolling shooter with RPG elements that is “as sweet as a bowl of chimichanga.” The objective is to score as many points in the game as possible by collecting and destroying all the satellites being held in orbit by the Martians. Helping you in this quest to save the world is the alien ally, who will attack Martians when they enter the atmosphere. Destroy the Martians and collect the indestructible diamonds in the game to unlock costumes and new powerups.

Play as a brown-haired doofus who gets caught in the middle of the battle between Earth and Martian attacks. Drake, the Martian, attacks the rocketship and shoots the 5 meter tall rockets, which is just as long as the boy. The boy sends the rocket back at the Drake, which he tries to catch. He blows up a rocket after successfully catching a rocket in-air, but he was interrupted by the Drake, which was trying to shoot him. The Drake is sent to the moon, where he will collect the diamonds. The Drake must collect all the diamonds before he can fly back to the mothership.

Damage Report:
Shoot the rockets near the Drake, which attacks the rocketships. The Drake is shooting you with his laser beam. Be careful not to get hit.
Drake: Use the steering to avoid being hit by the laser beam.
The asteroids:
Destroy all the asteroids, which are above the moon and below the moon.
The trick is to destroy all the asteroids before Drake gets the diamonds, which he will collect after the moon has been destroyed.

“What the hell is going on?!” said the boy. “Where’s Drake?”
“He’s inside the rocket!” said a voice. “I’ll go get him!”
“Who’s that?” said the boy.
“I don’t know, but they’re shooting at me! Use the rocketship!”

Enjoyable game. Easy to pick up and play, and still interesting to stay in longer.

-Just goes by, with small gaps in the story and no real grasp on the plot, making the entire game hang together more like it was a series of disjointed individual stories. The only good news is that the music for this game is phenomenal and I cannot stop listening to it.

-Gameplay is very old-school while being at the same time very good. The gameplay is a mix

    Hotel Sowls is a free atmospheric game in the style of point and click adventure games. You play as Noriel, a weary traveller visiting the seaside town of Sowls. As you travel through the town you will need to solve puzzles and progress through the game, whilst experiencing the beauty of nature, and exploring the town.
    Hotel Sowls is a mystery game, but is not a traditional one as it has elements of comedy and a light hearted feel to it. There is a light story line but the game and the characters are left open to interpretation.
    The game is currently in development and is in its early stages, being almost complete. All music, audio, and images are the property of the author, and any violation of this copyright will be prosecuted.

    Check this description of the gameplay of Hotel Sowls Game : A very nice and unique pvp music game concept, where you play a star who is on a quest to defeat 100 evil spirits by stealing their souls and going through 26 rooms of a hotel. You are unable to backtrack, as the rooms are numbered 1-26, and they are encountered one by one, while the only key to open a door is your music. As you find your soul in a room, it rewinds your music, so you can continue your journey to the next room. You are also given a soul level meter, so the weaker the music, the more damage you take. Your enemies, however, will be under the influence of the stronger music, so when you hit them with enough damage, you will see the souls of all the evil spirits gathering around them and being sucked into a well of hell. The rooms are full of loot and various things, like condoms, a pager, japanese porn videos and shampoos, things you find while you are in the rooms.
    If you defeat the spirit, you get your soul back, but the spirit will come back stronger, so you can try it once again. Also, the stronger your music, the bigger the enemy, so don’t be afraid to grab your hardest guitars. Your music will even influence the game, as if the room is too big, you won’t be able to go in it. The more fucks you have in the hotel, the bigger the toilet. Also, there are weak spots in the rooms, where you can set traps, so be careful of those. A 5 minutes break will recharge your soul level meter, and a 10 minute break will recharge it even more.
