The Holy Prophet SAW once said, `Don’t be shocked if you have entered Makkah, and if you had entered it, don’t be surprised if you enter Paradise’.” Therefore, before entering to Makkah, each and every Muslim prayed fervently to Allah and asked to find a place in Paradise as well. The Ghazwa e Badar was not only a battle for the Muslims, but also a chance for Muslims to establish themselves as a threat and more importantly, as a fear to the Quraish. This was a major reason for Ghazwa e Badar.

Some of the Badariyans who were present in Badar are: 1. Muhammad ibn Qasim ibn Abu Sufyan (Muhammad’s Grandfather) – they say that he was a slave at Medina. He is also credited with converting his former master, Khabbab bin Hudhafah to Islam. Later, in the battle of Uhadh, he led a group of non-Muslims to the battlefield. He was killed in that battle. Although he was not present at the battle of Badr, his suggestion about Muslim invasion was the cause of this battle, and the battle started when both sides reached the so-called first jubilee. 1. Abu Bakra (Slave of Muhammad SAW) – Muhammad SAW wrote him a letter after the battle of Badr. In the letter, Muhammad SAW asked Abu Bakra to go to Makkah with his wife and bring some gold to help the Muslims out of their financial crisis. He did it, and later when the Muslim armies reached Makkah, Abu Bakra brought a large number of gold. 1. Abu Bakr As-Siddiq – Muhammad SAW wrote him a letter after the battle of Badr. He was considered one of the best. He did not fight in the battle of Badr, but was present in Jerusalem. He wrote a letter to his wife HAFTADA, and asked her to keep up with their children and make them strong. On the other side, MusLIM’s family is very poor. Abu Bakr As-Siddiq wrote to Hafta and asked her to give him and his family some coins. Hafta responded and gave one bakka or 4mnt of coins. 1. Muhammad ibn Amr (Muhammad’s son in law) – he is considered a prophet and prophet of all religions. He wrote to Abu Bakr As-Siddiq and told him that he is aware of his family’s financial condition. He also asked him to help his family. He did not mention the amount of help, but said the household is in a big need for help. 1. Abdullah ibn Usaid (Usaid’s brother) – he was present in Badr. He was very brave but one of the unlucky ones. He was killed in that battle. 1. Baihaqi (Muslim hifazi) – he was present in Badr, and wrote a book about Ghazwa e Badar. 1. Jamali (Muslim hifazi) – he was present in Badar, and wrote a book about Ghazwa e Badar. 1. Al-Hafiz Abi Dawud (Muslim hifazi) – he wrote a book about Ghazwa e Badar. 1. Abu Umayya (Beloved one of Muhammad SAW) – he is mentioned in Sahabat e Muhajirin, and he fought at Badar, and did a lot of good there.
