I also tried to make a pen tool in the most recent version, but it was not too easy; even more difficult than making a regular paint brush in Adobe Photoshop, which is out of the scope of a short tutorial such as this. There are other more suitable programs in the market, like CorelDraw or Photoshop, but they can’t make a drawing program such as this out of the box. For now, if you want to try the pen tool, you can use Inkscape.
