The War between Gaia and Mana is rapidly intensifying…
The sky is turning red as the fire roared skyward, sending the shabby, close-knit township of Silver Creek into a panic. Multiplayer Mode
Everynight at sevenpm (PST) on Terraria.invicta.net will host the first session of the multiplayer community’s first ever “invasion” of the Terraria universe.
During this invasion, the player who has joined the lobby can invite as many friends as they like to battle them in the first ever Terraria multiplayer games.
Terraria will feature local and internet multiplayer. While the online multiplayer will be fundamentally the same as the original Terraria, with players being able to invite friends to battle and invite people into their world, the local multiplayer is completely new and unique.
Players can play co-operative games, or even choose to battle one-on-one, but the main attraction is the full-scale invasion of the Terraria universe. Players start by spawning on one of the available heroes’ worlds and traversing into the open areas outside their world.
While their world is under attack, all resources in the world are under threat, so players will be creating their own bases and fortifications with overworld items to defend their world with. Any time your world is under attack, you will be able to call down your own firebase to protect you and your home from getting attacked.
As all Terraria characters are NPC controlled, players can complete questing on their own worlds or invite anyone they wish to collaborate with in order to complete a more challenging experience.

We are not sure about all the features of our
My TD game has been performing extraordinarily well for a while, hitting 750+ kills before toggling between easy and god of gods. Suddenly, it’s crashing on me. I’m revisiting all the trappings of the game to root the problem out, and I think I’ve figured out where it is coming from. Here’s my theory.
1) It’s difficult to make a high-level player cry about something so easy.
2) Even at it’s peak, TD is a pain in the ass. I get that, by trying out TD I’m just doomed to learn how difficult the game can be. But, you know, fuck that. TD has a whole lot of gameplay depth, and there’s a whole lot to learn. You can’t solve all the problems in TD in just 1 or 2 quick games of TD. That’s why this game has won me over so quickly — I’m not in a position where I’m scared of the first 5 baddies, so I get to feed into my brain’s ‘learn everything about the game’ instinctual fear.
There’s a whole lot to play, from the tutorial to TD after hours. And this adds up to a lot of time. The question becomes, does all that time really make sense? I mean, I can fork over $10 bucks to an online console subscription, and I can kick back and play CoD 24/7, and I get no real reason to practice a game that rewards me for doing so much direct strategy and practice over a game I’m not playing. A good (free) TD can be completed in under an hour, but I don’t want to apply myself to a game that’s still only rewarding me when I direct strategy. And, my payoff is that with enough hours I get to apply my strategies to all kinds of powerful hardwares, lightsabers, and turrets. I’m not playing for content, I’m playing for the victory. Do I really need to practice TD’s UI?
3) TD is huge. I’ve spent a lot of time focused on the game, devouring every last bit of information. In that instant I’m no longer learning TD (or in the worst case scenario, preparing to ‘do homework’), I’m just absorbing all the very pleasant fluffy information all over the place. And if there’s one game that I can never fully absorb all the information in, it’s a quick game like TD.
