Microsoft C/C++ compiler
Visual C compiler
Microsoft Visual C++ compiler
Microsoft C++ compiler Runtime
Microsoft C++ runtime libraries

The Visual Studio Team System product line will no longer be supported in Visual Studio 2015. Visual Studio 2015 is the first version of Visual Studio that supports language extensions (such as Roslyn and Managed Extensibility Framework) and developer productivity tools (such as Roslyn and Managed Extensibility Framework). As a result, many of the templates, checklists, and wizards that are used by Team System end users are no longer supported in Visual Studio 2015. We do not plan to continue with Team System for Visual Studio. However, we plan to continue with Team System for Visual Studio 2012 and Team Foundation Server 2015.

while you are installing visual studio 6, you can also install the microsoft visual c 6.0 tools. this provides additional tools that you can use with visual studio 6. you will have to install both the visual c 6.0 redistributable and the visual c 6.0 tools separately, and you can’t do both at the same time. click here for more details.
once your application and visual studio 6 are installed, you can create a new application project. the first time you use visual studio 6, you should install the visual c 6.0 redistributable, the visual c 6.0 tools and windows 7 sdk. you can do this by going to:

to begin the installation process, we need to locate our setup folder, which on my system is c:\users\ramshar\appdata\local\packages\microsoft.visualstudio.community.11.0_8wekyb3d8bb\localstate\9d7c03b0a\packages\visualstudio.10.0.5237.20302\. if you are installing visual studio in program files (on windows 10) you will need to change the localstate folder to c:\users\ramshar\appdata\local\packages\microsoft.15.0_14f1fa49a\localstate\9d7c03b0a\packages\visualstudio.3323.20291\. the localstate folder contains various files that are required for all of the visual studio components installed on your machine. the folders and files we will be concerned with in this example are localstate\9d7c03b0a\packages\visualstudio.0_10.20200\ for the setup version and localstate\9d7c03b0a\packages\visualstudio.20291\ for the enterprise version. in this folder you will find the files setup.msi, setup.msd, and setup.exe. if you are installing visual studio in program files you will also need to locate c:\program files (x86)\microsoft visual studio 14.0\common7\ide\commonextensions\microsoft\teamfoundation\team explorer. if you are installing visual studio in program files (x86) you will need to locate c:\program files (x86)\microsoft visual studio 14.
