preparing for the test really wasnt hard. the telc b2 deutsch testbook came in handy for more than half of the topics, but there are some parts that can be a bit tricky. for example, some of the pronouns require a perfect t-v distinction that is not always that easy to grasp. some of the topics are very technical and require knowledge of things like europian pronunciation rules , europian grammar , and so on. theres plenty of material to work with and the learning curve isnt that steep. the telc b2 deutsch testbook is great, by the way. i cannot recommend it enough.

i learned the test questions, went through the solved ones, and started to prepare for the actual exam. first, i decided to choose the topics that i am most confident with. also, i wanted to ensure that i did not get stuck with any topic because i spent too much time on it while preparing.

i think a tutor who could listen to the answers and correct your mistakes would have been useful as i didnt know a thing. but its a good thing to have english speaking friends in your area or it can be useful to have internet access.
my tutor, katarina, prepared me really well. the prep audio cds, complete with text and audio, were extremely helpful. i found the telc b2 books very useful. but for extra help, i would say the german tv channel ikrf is a must.
the telc b2 deutsch book has sections for b1 and b2. it also contains many telc specific sections. thus, there are sections for telc specific vocabulary and telc specific grammar. the telc b2 deutsch test helps you identify and differentiate between the areas which are tested on the telc deutsch b2 test.
i didnt have any reading notes for the listening and writing sections. i heard the different worksheets and exercises from the telc prep and the b2 german. i also listened to the telc audio teaching course and the telc b2 deutsch book. telc b2 deutsch helped a lot with the listening section.
not only does it help you understand the topic, but it also helps you figure out the structure. that is, a chapter has a topic with its own vocabulary and grammar. the telc prep b2, for example, had a chapter on the telc, with the telc language speaking section at the end.
i didnt have any listen again training. i had practiced from the telc prep b2 a lot before the telc b2 exam. so, i was prepared. i went to a telc prep b2 class and listened to the telc exam questions. that way, i prepared by understanding the questions. that way, i got a feel for the exam as well. i didnt have any telc exam specific notes or anything like that, like i did for the telc prep b2, so i just had to remember the telc speaking knowledge.
