Mookajjiya Kanasugalu is a 1968 Kannada epic novel written by K. Shivarama Karanth. It won the Jnaanapeeta award for best novel at intervals the year 1977. The book describes a clash between Kannadiga and non Kannadiga community.Mary Mac Cracken’s albums Blacquer Blanc Blanc and The Balloon Factory are coming to KEXP thanks to a partnership with the Fuse programming service from the Public Radio Exchange. These are the first two albums in KEXP’s partnership with PRX, which is offering a free sampler and a chance to win an iPod Nano with all the pods built in from KEXP.

Since the beginning of December, Mary Mac Cracken’s two albums Blacquer Blanc Blanc and The Balloon Factory will be available on KEXP’s distribution partner R-Tunes, KEXP’s parent organization.

“The idea was always to do KEXP stuff,” she says. “I have a couple of projects going here that I was hoping would work out better but so far they have not.”

The free sampler of the first ten episodes of the podcast “The Americans with Mary Mac Cracken” is available to all KEXP subscribers. The podcast is the story of Mary Mac Cracken’s relationship with her parents and mother-in-law when she moved to Washington from New York.

“We have worked on the podcasts a lot and a lot of the stuff that ended up in ‘The Americans with Mary Mac Cracken’ was stuff that we had either tried to work out with potential projects. I love working on the podcasts, the work that I do with them is very nurturing and very physical, it’s something that I get a sense of achievement from. I have not been able to find a consistent home for the podcasts in another format. R-Tunes seemed like a home for the podcasts.”

How do I get the size of an ImageView and display a ProgressDialog in the same time?

I have an ImageView and I want to display a progress dialog to show that my app is working on something. So far I am trying to do this using this code:

I have an AsyncTask set to get an image from the internet and to save it to my local database using an AsyncTask called Downloader. So first I try to use an image from my drawable folder but it doesn’t work. I think this means that it is trying to get an image from the folder that I want to get the image from.
I had made a silly mistake and tried to put an image as a string (R.drawable.video_suspended) instead of an image resource (R.drawable.video_suspended). I was not able to get this fixed.
I was only using an image as a string so that I could get the size of an image and display it in a progress dialog at the same time. But in my code the problem is that the size gets displayed and the progress dialog doesn’t get displayed and the image doesn’t get displayed.
