If CS5 software isnt out yet, I have some good news for you. Read the review on the In Digital Arts site. Its the best site on the web to find honest reviews on the latest Pro Software. They have the best reviews and with the exception of Adobe, no other site gets the numbers like the IDA folks do. All that being said, there are 2 things that you should be aware of, in case you are not using Photoshop to its true potential. First, there are programs that DO 1000 things and do them well. Programs like this are great at what they do, but over time I have found it hard to use them effectively. I will go into more detail on this in a moment. So as to not get discouraged or frustrated by learning something that is not geared to allow you to create a satisfying, workable product, I highly recommend you use the programs that are meant to help you do exactly what you want to do, regardless of the time you spend learning it.
