And while these capabilities may seem like a nightmare to those who have been using Photoshop for years, the learning curve will be minimal.

The changes made in the new version of Photoshop are similar to those found in previous versions. I’m continuing to use it in the current version and will only review the new features as they’re released. The only big changes seem to be that you can add more screens in Photoshop, and a few new features have been added.

Playing around with it a bit, the only new things I’ve noticed are a great new Layer Mask feature and a workflow update from the previous iteration. The Layer Mask feature allows you to paint on an independent layer and then control what is painted in and what is not. There are a few new features on workflow, including the Split Adjustment Layer and the ability to use the Content Aware Fill tool.

This is the paid, full version of Photoshop. It’s a free version, but you can’t use all the features. Photoshop CC workflow is like a mix between Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom. Switch between the new Tool Selector and the new Content Aware Fill Modes. Also a useful new feature is in Adjustment Layer, you can easily add a layer behind the model and see the adjustments clearly.

This new version (you can see the date in the title above) has bag of new features including a major workflow upgrade. The new update adds an entire new layer of automation. Some of the great things about this feature are that it’s easy to use and it makes the workflow faster.

The Airbrush tool can be used in two ways: With the Fan Brush option a single point can be used to brush out areas on an image. Imagine drawing away parts of the image with a brush, and you have this feature. With the Spot Airbrush, you can use the tool as a traditional airbrush, and set an intensity, air pressure, size, and angle.

The Path Selection tool can be used to add multiple, interconnected shapes of any color, and size to your design. Paths can then be manipulated by modifying the size and placement of their anchor points.

You can use the Live Sharpen tool to make images sharper. This is especially helpful if you’re using a DSLR or other camera with an image sensor and lens that are not as sharp as the native camera.
