With Photoshop, you’ll use a brush tool, pen tool, and various drawing tools to lay out a design or create a photo-realistic painting.

# Get to Know Your Brushes
Before you start learning all the ins and outs of Photoshop, it’s important to know what you’ll be working with and the effects you’ll be creating. Brushes are the way you draw and paint on-screen. Many tools work in a way similar to those that you’d find on a pencil or chalkboard.
Learning Photoshop brushes is like learning a new language; you need to know the vocabulary in order to achieve the desired effect. Get a handle on all the brushes available and start drawing just like the pros do!
* **Paint Brush** A paintbrush with an unlimited amount of paint.
* **Airbrush** A brush that pulls paint out of the air to apply it directly to your canvas.
* **Eraser** A brush designed to remove unwanted areas of paint.
* **Clay Bead** A brush that smears and blends colors together.
* **Chalk** A brush used to apply a chalky, fuzzy appearance to your image.
* **Mop** A soft, furry brush with a strong, sweeping appearance.
* **Tapestry** A brush that manipulates the colors in your image.
* **Brush Tip** The end of the brush on which you apply paint.

# About Levels
You can do your own version of this by going to Image ▸ Adjustments ▸ Curves and using the Make Levels and Make Smart Guides options. The two functions work together to automatically adjust the tonal range of your image, giving you greater control over how the blacks and whites are emphasized. You can also change the entire brightness range of your photo with the Levels adjustment. This is the most common method for correcting for poor lighting. It may seem counterintuitive to alter the brightness of a photograph to bring out detail, but it is often the best way to preserve colors, especially if the light washes out the photograph.
The levels adjustment doesn’t cut out any whites; it just shifts them to a higher value. When you make the adjustment, the image’s whites shift to a higher value, and the darker areas of the photograph move to a lower value. This means that any
Adobe Photoshop, formerly Adobe Photoshop Elements, is one of the most widely used image editing tools in the world. Photographers, graphic designers, web designers, Discord emoji creators and meme-makers all use Photoshop to edit images, create new high-quality images, or both. It’s cross-platform — meaning it can run on both a Mac and Windows computer — and comes with all the usual tools that professionals need to create beautiful, high-quality images. Photoshop can also be used to create video and 3D images.
What you’ll need
To edit, create and manipulate images, you’ll need a computer with a video card and enough RAM to run Photoshop. Photoshop also requires a display of at least 2560 x 1600 resolution. Photoshop runs on both Macs and PCs and can be downloaded in a free version or a paid version.
Photoshop is available in five editions: Classic, Elements, Lightroom, Photoshop CS6, and Photoshop CC. The free version of Photoshop Lightroom works offline on both Macs and PCs and allows photographers to view, organize and edit images.

The Quick Selection tool
The Quick Selection tool allows you to select an image part quickly by simply placing a cursor over the part of the image you want to edit. When you click, the image part is changed to the layer you want to work on. You’ll find the Quick Selection tool in the toolbox near the right-hand side of the screen. Click on the tool icon or press Q to open the tool.
Once you’ve selected the image, you can click the tool icon again to select the next part you want to work on.
You can choose from four different selection options:
Freehand: Choose a selection area by clicking anywhere on the image and dragging.
Rectangular selection: Drag a rectangle, an ellipse or any other shape to

Helen M. Lapides
Helen M. Lapides is a biochemistry professor at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
Education
Lapides earned a B.A. in chemistry, magna cum laude, from Princeton University, and a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley. She also received an M.S. in biochemistry from the University of California, San Francisco.
Career
Lapides began her career in academia as an instructor at Princeton University and joined the faculty of the University of Minnesota as a professor in 1977. She is currently the Elizabeth O. Dole Professor of Biochemistry, Chemistry, and Molecular Biology.
Lapides is a member of the American Chemical Society and a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. In addition, she is a member of the National Academy of Sciences Institute of Medicine, the founding editor of the Biochemical Journal, and a past president of the Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She has also served on the board of directors for the American Cancer Society since 2005.
Research
Lapides focuses on the molecular genetics of cancer and other human genetic disorders. She also studies the production and function of carbohydrates and glycoconjugates. In addition to her research, she is an advocate for people with cancer.
Awards
Lapides has been awarded fellowships from the National Institutes of Health and the American Cancer Society. She was elected into the National Academy of Sciences in 2012 for her contributions to molecular genetics and biochemistry.

Sometimes, the smart phone needs to be replaced, or at least we think it does. But, we all like having a nice headphone for when we have a social event, or maybe just to use when we’re driving to work on a sunny day. We all know the top and bottom ports for the headphone jack are there to make it easy to plug in and use.
What if you could just plug this into the ear?
This may seem like something you would have seen in movies, but the folks over at Swat have pulled it off with just an iPhone.
It’s not what you’d call a fully functioning headphone, but it does sound like it would work.
The headphones are pretty much created by strapping some electronics to a pair of wireless headphones that are already in the market.
The company even has a little time table up so you can see it come to life. It will do so in about four years, so don’t hold your breath.
We reached out to Swat for a comment on where their project is now, but, with the company being funded by investors instead of venture capital money, we don’t think they’ll be revealing that information any time soon.

How can I get a list of filenames from a directory and piping them through a command line tool?
I’m currently working on a tool that takes a list of files from a directory and pipes it through a command line tool. The command line tool accepts multiple filenames separated by a comma, and its purpose is to capture the filenames in some way and call another command line tool.
I’m currently trying to get the following working (only a working version of the command line tool is shown):
find. -type f | cut -d”/” -f1 | python cmd.py 1.txt 2.txt 3.txt
I’ve tried the following but I’ve failed so far to get it working. Is there a way to accomplish this with find?
find. -type f | while read file
do
python cmd.py “$file”
done
The current error I’m
Note: This mod is made with survival mode in mind, to keep things a bit more simmilar to old survival mode. It is still possible to use other modes, but not recommended. I cannot test any of the fancy stuff that is already added to the game.
I have tested the mod on both C.S.M and server side file edition.
