Diagnosis of carotid-cavernous fistula by time-resolved MR angiography.
Time-resolved magnetic resonance (MR) angiography is a non-invasive technique for dynamic visualization of carotid cavernous fistulas (CCFs). In this study, we investigated the sensitivity of time-resolved MR angiography in the diagnosis of acute CCF for different types of bleedings. Sixteen patients underwent time-resolved MR angiography and conventional MR angiography. In six cases, conventional MR angiography was performed as an additional diagnostic procedure. All patients were at risk of cerebral ischemia or hemorrhage. Findings in conventional MR angiography and time-resolved MR angiography were compared. In two patients, CCF was found by time-resolved MR angiography. Both were overlooked in conventional MR angiography. The smallest CCF detected by time-resolved MR angiography was 2 mm wide, and the smallest one in conventional MR angiography was 4 mm wide. The sensitivity of time-resolved MR angiography in the detection of CCF was 83%, whereas the sensitivity of conventional MR angiography was 25% in the detection of carotid and cavernous fistulas in acute carotid-cavernous hemorrhages. Time-resolved MR angiography offers more information than conventional MR angiography about the nature of CCF in acute carotid-cavernous hemorrhages, especially in the detection of small CCFs.Q:

I have the following view controller which has a subview.

I use a lot of different parameters in the subview controller and I want to know if I need to unwind into the parameters.

An access control device is a sensor and/or fob device which unlocks or otherwise locks a lock when a user approaches or moves in a particular direction. Access control devices, particularly those using infrared or radiofrequency (RF) transmission, can be more secure than mechanical, electrical or magnetic key/fob combinations as they eliminate the need for a key to be present for the lock to open and can provide additional security because the access control device is not accessible to the lock owner. For example, the access control device may be either a keyfob which is attached to the user’s keychain or a free-floating, battery powered device which can be used with various locks, including deadbolt locks. In many applications, the access control device will be locked in a storage unit to protect the device from loss, theft or damage.
The internal circuitry of an access control device typically includes a memory component to store access codes for a given access control unit and various other codes, such as the frequency and power levels of an alarm signal, used to identify whether the alarm signal has been triggered. Because the access code and other important security-related codes must be stored within the unit in a secure manner, many access control units and other key control or other smart card devices include a tamper-proof seal or snap lock which is used to protect the internal circuitry of the access control device from unauthorized tampering. In a standard hand-held, battery powered key fob, for example, the tamper-proof seal extends over the battery housing and is disposed near the surface of the body of the device in order to keep the housing tamper-proof and to keep the battery from being exposed. In a hand-held keyfob which transmits signals over the air, the tamper-proof seal is generally positioned within the housing.
In the case of a hand-held keyfob and certain other smart card devices, it is generally not possible to test the circuit because it is enclosed within the housing of the device. As a result, the user is unable to confirm that the fob works before activating it. In the case of a mechanical key, the user is able to see whether the mechanical key is properly configured by examining the lock, thus obviating the need to trust that the mechanical key will work.
However, it is still possible for the user to activate an access control device which will not work. For example, if the tamper-proof seal is damaged or broken when the device is stored, the access
